It was one of the main criteria for me - that cat pee wouldn't seep between the pan and the lid. I have an elderly arthritic cat who pees standing up, so this was vital. At first, I was a bit put off by the price - but now I wish I'd bought one ages ago! The lid locks onto the base at the front and back, and creates a very sound seal. The tray itself is good quality plastic, and big enough for the cats to manoeuvre, but doesn't look too huge. And best of all, I haven't ONCE had to clean cat pee from the lip where the lid locks onto the base!

Excellent
I bought this going by the other reviews and I wasn't disappointed. It's a little expensive but worth the money as it is so easy to open and clean. I don't have the flap on the door as I thought it might put off my 10 week old kitten. She's using it fine without. Great product.

Brilliant
We've had our 'Tardis' (named so because we have the blue one!), for just over a year and it is an excellent today as when new. It has to be one of the most aesthetic litter trays on the market and does its job fabulously. Certainly worth the money, we wouldn't be without it.

Fine litter tray but priced far too high!
This litter tray does the job well. My two BSH kittens use it with no problem once they got used to the swing door. The cover fastens onto the base securely. It is larger than required, and my cats aren't small. One design problem: the smell can easily bypass the charcoal filter, as there is a gap right at the place where the filter is installed. My main problem however is of the price. It is just a few pieces of ok-quality plastic. 50% of the marked price would have been more reasonable. They clearly benefited from the lack of similar products on the market.

Excellent value
This is exactly what I was looking for and couldn't find anywhere, a sturdy large litter tray for my two cats at a reasonable price. The plastic liners are also much stronger and better quality than the ones you buy in the shops and fit the tray perfectly. I have no problems closing the tray clips over the bag either(somebody said they did). Highly recommended!

Overall good product
After reading all great reviews i bought this product. Much less mess than an open litter tray and no leaks at all! My cat was a bit hesitant at first because he wasnt used to flap but after using it a couple of times he was fine. The only thing i was a little let down by was the fact it doesnt mask all the smells, it still can get a bit smelly at times!

suitable for old fat ladies!
my old girl of 17 (84 our years) has problems with getting her position right and tends to make a mess with litter etc every where! This is a fab solution to all the litter probs and my other four cats have decided its nicer to pee indoors as well now! Recomend this porta loo for any cats! 10/10

BRILLIANT !!!!
If you are wondering what type of cat litter tray to go for, then dont rule this one out...It keeps all the smells in. I live in an apartment so smells were a big no no for me!!! This truly is great!!! My BSH kitten loves it, she was alittle put off by the door at first, but I just kept it off for first 2 weeks until she got used to it, now she is fine with the door on!! I have the light grey one which doesnt stand out, although its big its not that noticeable...go for it!!

Excellent Litter Box
After our 2nd cat refused to go outside we needed a solution to her smelly litter tray - and this was just what we were looking for! The tray is excellent, she took to using it straight away, no refusal problems at all. All odours stay inside! Would definatley recommend!

Brilliant - no odour whatsoever!
This litter box is fantastic. If there's one thing I didn't want in my house, it was the aroma of a smelly litter box so, although this model is a bit more expensive, I bought it after reading the previous positive reviews. I am not disappointed. I can honestly say I have not smelled even the slightest odour from the box (I use it with a wood based cat litter) and my new Siamese kitten was happy with the flap door from day one. I would recommend this litter box to anyone.

Great product!
Jess the cat was not keen to use the toilet with the door down for the first 3 months as she did not like anything that swings.
She is fine with the swing door in place nowadays.
No need to use air freshners as there is no smell at all, even when the door was in the open position in the past.

Would recommend gimpet deluxe to anyone
Definitely worth the money. I have 4 cats and I too was sick of clearing up litter remnants and of the lingering smell. They have quickly adapted to the flap and love to go in and do their business in private. Smell and mess is now minimal and although they are quite big boxes, it's much much better than an open litter tray (as you can imagine with 4 cats). No leaks and I would highly recommend. Don't be dubious. Buy it!

Excellent Product
Our kittens have taken to this straight away - i't a good size for more than one cat and keeps most of the mess inside the tray - we haven't used the flap yet so can't comment on that yet but we are very pleased with this product.

cat that wont use cat door will use this
This is a great product and it really does keep the smell in the box. I have a cat that dont like using the cat door but she will use this after a little persuasion she uses this cat litter with no problem because the door is very light to open and close so it doesnt put pressure on her head when she opens it and traps her tails in the door when it closes.

My 6 month old kitten loves this!
I bought this litter tray hoping to prevent her from kicking litter all over my carpet and it really works! After some gentle coaxing she is now using the swing door with ease and I'm really glad i bought this.

Great!
This has really reduced the amount of litter which is normlly spread around my floor and reduced the smell from the litter tray. My cat has taken to using the door quite easily and the box doesn't look huge.

Leakproof
It really is as leak proof as it claims. One of my cats was doing his best to make a smelly mess when he went to the toilet, and apart from when he aimed one through the flap (which did better than I would have thought at keeping most of it in) he hasn't succeded since. The box has done its job and I guess he must have found it unpleasant to leave through a wet flap :-).

Not just the puddy tats!
Had enough of the rabbits kicking out of their litter bin(a plastic dog bed) and flailing their poops around so thought we'd try a cat litter box. This one looked purrfect, and plenty big enough for them both. And they both love being 'hidden' behind the door. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!

excellent product
I have 4 cats and I have tried different litter trays, but the gimpet deluxe is the best I have found. It doesn't leak when a cat wees up the back of the tray which has been the problem with other trays I have used which is great, no more smells and wet patches out side the tray. I have removed the door as one of the cats wouldn't use it. Great product I would recommend it to anyone.

This product will change your life!
That sounds so dramatic, but the smell from my cats' old litter box was truly horrendous! I'd clean it out and use all the cleaners/fresheners etc, but within mins they'd stunk my house out again. Not anymore! It's been 3 days and still no smell, thanks to the door and the carbon filter. Supermarket litter tray liners are too small as it's quite large, but Zooplus has liners to fit. And, as always, they're great value for money!

excellent product
bought this online on saturday and it arrived today (wed) with no delays. it has to be the best cat toilet on the market. very easy to use, with great sliding clip system. looked at other identical cat toilets on the high street and they were £10 if not £15 more expensive. great value for money. fantastic website.

Fantastic product
A well made and sturdy product!
Have 2 cats and used to spend ages clearing up the litter from all over the floor - now cleaning up after them is so quick and easy.
Took a couple of days for them to get used to it, although we did remove the flap.
So happy with it that buying another one just to keep as a spare!

Excellent, great quality and easy to use even for kittens!
I bought this litter tray because I didn't like the smell or mess of an ordinary open cat litter tray. It arrived quickly and i was suprised at the great quality (not flimsey plastic like most). The filter really decreases the odors and because its enclosed you do not get half as much of the mess around the tray. The kittens took to it straight away with no accidents! I would highly recommend this product.

The best litter tray we've had...
It really is an amazing litter box - we've 3 cats and not once had cat smells in the house. It's easy to clean, nice and spacious for the cats and when we have visitors, most do not even realize it's a litter tray. Contains the litter very well too. I'm glad I opted for this model with the door as I think it helps contain odour. The scooper it comes with is also very handy. Overall I'm very pleased with this.

Brilliant Invention
This is the most fantastic litter tray - you'd never believe that there was ever anything in it, especially used with talc fraganced litter - not a single smell and all the litter contained. I never imagined it could ever be pleasant to empty a litter tray!!

Perfect for Maine Coons

Spacious litter tray.
I purchased 3 last month while they were on offer and they are very spacious as I have 4 indoor cats, they tend to confine smells a bit more if you have the door on but not all cats like the door but it just lifts off if your cat does not like the door.The largest litter tray I have see so far.

Great Product - Excellent Site
I really rate this site. They are very customer focused - delivery period is very good, usually 4 days. I had a problem with one order - the cat toilet was damaged when it arrived. I emailed and the response was immediate with a replacement product arriving a few days later - and i didn't have to return the original!
