Even hard-to-please kitty loving it!After having a new french door fitted and getting rid of the cat flap, we bought this as a hideaway place for our 3 year old male cat, whilst we are at work. Although we weren't sure he will use it, it was on an offer so we gave it a go. He is otherwise a very fussy cat (very expensive beds and cushions go untouched), and it did take some time for him to warm up to it...but he absolutely LOVES it! Spends now whole days (some nights too) sleeping on a cushion we put on the terraced area. Doesn't want to come in even when we are calling him in to eat! Incredible! Cant wait for summer, I think he will love to bask in the sun on the roof :) The front plastic flap is a bit too hard (not very flexible) and it was causing him problems to get in and out, so we simply took it off. Also fitting a cushion or piece of old carpet in both areas will make it more comfy. It looks very nice in the garden and putting it together was a 10 min job.

Cat Maisonette/DenThis is a wonderful product, which not only is excellent value for money, very easy to assemble, and arrived very quickly it has provided great shelter for my 4 cats if caught in the rain or snow. They also enjoy it for some shelter and a quick nap if it's sunny. I have also been able to leave food and water out for a few strays in the top part. I put a blanket in the bottom part and it provides a cosy spot for shelter or a sleep or just when one of them wants a bit of hide away time to themselves. I will be moving soon to a place with a larger garden and wont hesitate to get some more of these good looking and very servicable Maisonettes.

Perfect CatHouse Just add straw :)I brought this cat den for the 10+ strays & feral cats living in myself's & fellow neighbors garden,I wanted them to have a safe & sheltered place to sleep away from this insane rain & snow. They usually sleep together under my stair case which isn't very nice so I though i'd give this a try. And I am so glad that I did, it took me under an hour to fix together it was just like putting a doll house together really cute. I read previous reviews about putting straw or carpet inside so I had a bundle of straw at the ready to keep them clean and warm and it really does do the trick, they were in and out of that cat house before I even had a chance to attach the roof (which I fitted in my garden so I could carry it through the door). 3months on the house is still in perfect condition and the cats love it, the kittens sleep at the bottom and the big fluffy ones chill at the top, they seem a lot happier and most importantly are nice and dry. I may eventually buy a 2nd house to give them more room but for now they happily share the space and are a joy to watch. would recommend to anyone they really enjoy having their own little haven.

Cat's Love ItI bought this for the stray cat we feed but he wasn't interested. He is very timid so I am still hopeful. Two ginger boys from over the road use it regularly as their owners think it's ok to leave them out in snow, wind and rain. They can both fit on the verandah and at times one will sleep underneath and one on top. On to my cats, we have three and the old lady of the house likes to sit on the verandah in the sun or on the roof. It was easy to put together. Again as other reviewers mentioned, the cats don't seem to like the flap but that's ok as it still keeps them dry. It also looks nice in the garden.

Exceptional !!Just received our cat house today and I must say, it exceeded all of my expectations. Definetly the best value for money I have ever received. Delivery was speedy, instructuions were easy to follow and the cat house looks amazing! Every animal lover should have one. Cant thank Zooplus enough for their fantastic service. Will definetly be looking to do business with them again

Great House!We purchased this house just a couple days ago and it has already came in the mail! Very fast indeed. The house was exactly as pictured, although the roof was a little surprising. Didn't expect the kind of material it was! It's very good though. It is very sturdy and quite cute! We are going to put it outside so we still have to put another layer of wood protector on it. The directions are a bit confusing but we got through them! All-in-all, good buy!

Great value for the money !Thought this looked and sounded good and at the back of my mind I thought too good to be true and expected it to be of less quality on arrival, however absolutey delighted...... as is the cat...... she loves her balcony!! Plastic too hard on the entrance so we have taken that off, very happy indeeed with this purchase

Cats Are Going On A Summer HolidayFantastic bed at a fantastic price. A bit trickier to assemble than other reviews have stated. One piece of wood was split, a little disappointing but think/hope I can sort it. My boy was in it straight away he loves it. Plastic cat flap is a bit tough so have left that off as it was putting my boy of going in bottom section. Buy this you want be disappointed! Item sent from Germany so took a week and a half to arrive little bit surprised at that but it got here and that's what counts...Enjoy :-)

Excellent value for money- highly recommendedOrdered this as we were unable to have a cat flap in our new house. Cant recommend it enough. Came within a couple of days, easy to put together and the cat has a warm dry place to shelter. I would recommend putting some carpet on the bottom during construction (before putting the roof on) as its much easier. Also, leaving the flap off the front for a couple of days so the cat gets used to going in and out.

easiest to construct of three cat houses I boughtI bought the Madeira and the Cat Lodge as well as this Cat Den Maisonette. This house was the easiest to construct. But as a useless DIYer I did put the side panels on the wrong way round intially so the floor panels wouldn't fit in. Just a heads up for any other numpty out there. But the side panels are joined with bolts and nuts which are easy to remove as they have not been screwed in so didn't take more than a couple of minutes to rectify. However, important note - you will need a short and narrow handled screwdriver as the location of some of the screws is awkward and close to the joints. Poor placement in my view. The quality of the wood is not as good as the other two houses and was splintering in a couple of places. But the ease of construction (the roof panels were hinged together already making it much easier for one person to handle) gave it the edge over the other two. It was also the cheapest. I bought it when it cost £39.90. The Lodge Cat house was £46.99 and the hefty Madeira cat house was £59.90. I bought them all at the same time. I also prefer the proportions of this house to the Lodge as it has a squarer shape. Just aesthetic preference.

Cat Den MaisonetteI bought this for my cat's although they already have two wooden houses in the garden, plus an igloo it wasn't enough for five cat's to shelter in. Now they have enough shelter. My friend's Son put it together for me in no time at all and he was well impressed, so was his mum when she saw it, so impressed that she ordered one for her cat's. It is so well made and a lovely design. My cat's think it's great. Best thing i have ever bought for them.

Love itI just bought this for my two cats. I was a bit wary because a couple of people mentioned it looked smaller than they expected, and my boy is quite big for a domestic short hair, but I thought it should be ok. It's not always easy to picture how large something will be, even when the measurements are given, but I was pleasantly surprised to see it's actually a good size and comfortably large enough for both of them. It arrived yesterday and was very quick to put together - I love the way the screws are labelled for easy identification, thank you so much for that - and I've put it in their cat run. They're allowed out during the day, but are shut in between dusk and 9am, either in the house or in the cat run. Rain, especially when it's cold, has always meant them being stuck indoors. Now they can sit outside in the rain and stay dry. My little girl is a bit wary of it at the moment, as she is of anything or anyone new, but my boy loves to sit on the roof if it's dry and in the gallery when it's raining. I've put the plastic strips over the opening in the bottom section, but neither have been in there yet. I'll see how that goes but, if they won't go in, I'll take them off and either leave it open or fit a clear catflap. We were going to make one, but this was on special offer at under £40 and we couldn't even have bought the materials for that. It goes down as yet another great buy from ZooPlus.
