an excellent wheelMy hamster absolutely loves this exercise wheel. He could run on it all night and it seems to be his favourite playtime place. The wheel is truly silent, makes barely any noise and all I can hear is my hamsters' feet touching the surface. The only extra thing I would recommend is putting some cork on the running surface as it lowers the sound of little claws scratching the bare wood and it makes running a genuinely pleasurable experience for your hamster. a 5 star product after all!

Best Wheel out there!I love this wheel, right now only one of my hammies has one but I can't here him running on his over the rest of them, all you can hear is the tiny sound of their little paws, no squeaking!

Excellent wheelLovely wheel, no spindle to rub the hamsters back and good if you're going for the 'natural' look. Come in three sizes too so you can get the right size for your hamster :)

Excellant Wheel for Your Syrian Hamster-I highly Recommend it.This is a fantastic wheel-am so glad I decided to purchase it-it fits perfectly in my Barney & Alaska cages.If you have a hamster who is likely to wee in their wheel though I do recommend you use Plasticote non toxic spray on paint first. All in all a fantastic wheel,very quiet also.I bought the largest size for my syrian but the 20cm will do fine for most syrian hamsters-Do buy this wheel,you wont be disapointed-its well worth buying it to give your hamster the best money can buy.

Fab for degusI have 3 degus that destroy everything and thought I would give this wheel a go. I ordered the large on and it arrived this morning and so far seems fab. Very quiet just the noise of the degus feet pattering along. They were straight into it running and seemed happy! Will get a spare one as I know it will double up as a chew toy!

Fast delivery and Chaos loves it :) xOrdered the 29cm version of this on Tuesday for my 9 week old Syrian Hamster Chaos and it was delivered today. Fits wonderfully in her tank and matches the home made platform/shelf unit my Dad made for her. She has tried it out and loves running in it...learnt what it was in matter of seconds. Hit and Miss!I have two of these, one is rediculously noisy and the other one is just noisy. I have cheaper wheels that are much quiter. However loads of people are happy with them so I must have got two dodgy ones. The hamsters who have them seem to like them and choose to run on the wooden wheel over plastic wheels when I give them a choice.

hamster perfectioni recently bought the 20cm version and it was completely perfect for my new syrian, not too big not too small, and fits perfectly in the cage. its sanded down to a smooth finish and theres nothing for your little hammy to get caught or hurt on, best wheel ive found thank you xx (P.S its so silent i can hardly tell when shes on it)

Great for hamstersI have bought a few of these for my hamsters. Large for a Syrian and medium for dwarfs. They can use them without and problems and they are super quiet. I have used plasicote non-toxic spray paint to water proof them and to make them match my cage colours. Brilliant wheel with quality bearings.

Fantastic Exercise Wheel!I bought the mid size wheel for my sons two gerbils a few months back and it is their favourite toy (they have a lot!). It is the perfect size for them, giving them lots of room to stretch out whilst running. We previously had plastic ones, but they started to nibble on those which isn't good for them! They have had their wooden wheel for a few months now and have nibbled it a bit; which is good for their teeth. I bought another one for when it is totally chewed, but I think that will be a long time away. This wheel is also very quiet which is great for us when they start their night time activities :)

Best wheel we've had for noiseWe have 4 extremely energetic degus and bought the 29cm wheel for them to use as a starter wheel. It was relatively quiet in the cage but due to a manufacturing fault and the bearing not being level the wheel broke quite quickly. Zooplus were great and after sending photos they gave me a refund for it and after a bit of tinkering it was on the move again, quieter than ever thanks to a little cardboard spacer to even the bearing. However, noise is created from the moving of the base around the cage as our boys like to jump in wheels at speed and also leap up the sides while running in it. If you find this problem, try putting velcro on the bottom of the wheel and the bottom of your cage as it should be enough to stick it in place. The wheel died a painful death at the hands of my goos teeth. It is only thin wood but if you haven't got a critter as destructive as what I am pretty sure is a cross between a goo and a woodchuck by now, then it should have a long and happy life with you. I now have further plans to make this wheel live again, using sheet metal to make the wheel, as it was my favourite for noise levels.

Perfect for Syrian HamstersI always thought that my Syrian Hamster did not like her wheel (the plastic ones sold with the cages that pet shops tell you are adequate for the pet you are buying) but now I realise that it was too small for her. As soon as we got this wheel she has been spinning in it every night. She loves it and it also has the advantage of being silent other than the sweet little sound of her paws padding on the wheel. Definitely recommend - money well spent!

Lovely wheel for my miceLovely wheel, my mice really enjoy it! Nice and quiet, no sqeaks or grindy noises. Might plasti-kote it though as am afraid my mousies will wee on it and it will soak into the natural wood.

Quiet and doesn't arch ham's backI bought the 20cm one for my Syrian as the wheel I originally bought for him was way too small. After reading some recommendations, I decided to go with this one, and I can see why it's so highly rated everywhere! All you can hear is the pitter patter of little feet, otherwise it is silent. I did plasti-kote it though, just so that if ham pees, it won't ruin the wood. I'm just glad that hammie's no longer having to arch his back and neck, and he doesn't have a spindle digging into his back! May have to buy the biggest one eventually though, since he's only 10 weeks at the moment...
