good, but dont like the wooden platforms!!well, i have 2 syrians and 2 roborovskis, and i thought as one of my syrians is in a not that big cage i thought i'd buy this. however my other syrian is in a lovely rat cage - its the same size roughly, has a metal base and well has decent metal/wire platforms. but only one. and the exersise dome? um well yes, same size...not as hard base as the rat cage...wooden platforms which Mimi likes to pee and then chew on...hmmm...i might put my 2 robos in there though, so they can climb the bars...nice cage - very nice sophisticated look, but maybe plastic shelves or something a bit more practical would be lovely. nice price. £50. but the rat cage was £50 also so i should have got a ratcage for Mimi. nice cage though. would recommend

Great cage but wooden platforms not so goodI ordered this cage for our syrian hamster. It is very spacious and has lots of different levels. Overall it is a good cage. The problem is that the platforms are wooden so they quickly become worn and urine soaked, and being wooden are not easy to wipe clean. The ususal disinfectant used in cages just soaks straight in and leaves a nasty smell which the hamster finds disconcerting. I contacted Zooplus who told me that no, they do not make or supply replacement boards for this cage, so this is a problem as it has a definite shelf life because of this. The wooden tunnels are too small for a syrian so were of no use. The wheel needed to be replaced as it made an awful noise after only 1 day. Zooplus also told me that this cage would be suitable for adult dwarf's, but not youngsters as the bar space is not small enough. Good price, but when you consider the cost of replacing the tunnels, wheel, and the short life span of the cage due to the wooden boards - not so great. I hope Zooplus read this and decide to swap the wooden boards for something more durable and hygenic.

Great cageThis is an excellent cage for hammies...more space than the 'average' horrid cages you get at pet shops without breaking the bank or taking up too much room. Would recommend at least this size for any hamster. Few problems with cage arriving damaged, but service team were always easy to contact and quick to help out.

The Perfect Hamster CageI had been looking for cage of good size, easy access, and flexibility in arranging floors and accessories for absolutely ages. This cage meets all mine and my hammy's needs 100% The three doors (2 on side and 1 large on top) allow you to get to any part of the cage with ease, and hammy can now easily step into and out of her ball from one of the side doors without taking a leap of faith when going back in. My only regret,I wish I had brought it sooner! I'd recommend this cage to anyone with a hamster. |
Great CageThe bars were a little bent in one corner on arrival, meaning that the end of one of the bars had come unstuck and the door was a little loose. Although this would have been fine for a hamster, I wasn't going to risk it with the mice. Dad rang up and they despatched a new one straight away and sent a courier to fetch the damaged one - very impressed. As for the new cage, my mice love it! I've only had the little guys since saturday, but they're getting on fine and I haven't had any escapes, which I was worried about as my meeces are only 6 weeks old and tiny!

Top QualityI purchased this cage a few weeks ago for my pet Gerbil. I would seriously recommend it for anyone looking for a good spacious cage. The deep base is a huge plus for me as it minimises mess outside the cage. Prompt delivery, great value and a happy Gerbil. Top marks.

Great CageI have just bought this cage for my two dwarf hamsters. Its a great size giving lots of room for them to run around in. If you are looking to buy a new cage for your hamster, Syrian or Russian Dwarf then this is ideal, great price too !!

Perfect home for gerbilsMy daughter wanted a larger cage for the gerbils, and I agreed. This one looked ideal, so I ordered it. The delivery from Zooplus was excellent, as it arrived in the shortest estimated timescale. I didn't find it hard to assemble at all, although there are a few bits to this cage, but that's what you get if you want an interesting home for your pets. The gerbils love it, and are up and down the platforms all day (and night!), and there is plenty of space to add more hidey-holes. However, being what they are, I can see we'll need to replace some wooden parts before too long, as they have done some chewing already - including the plastic wheel. The base is not quite as high as is necessary to prevent bedding escaping the cage, gerbils are prolific diggers, and scatter matter over a wide area (in fact, as I type this, I've just seen some go two feet). But that's more to do with the choice of pet than housing. Overall, a highly recommended pet home for a good price, ideal for two gerbils anyway.

AmazingThis cage is: . Cheap . Huge . Easy to clean & most impotantly My 3 Roborovski hamsters love it. It was difficult to assemble but once sussed it was a breeze. The 8 inch wheel Was to big for them, But my syrian loved it. Im so pleased with as it has lots of room for toys and room for 3 wheels. Thankyou zooplus for another great product x

Broken on arrival but good cageThe plastic base was broken on one corner and cracked on arrival. The space in the cage is great but I am a bit worried that the height might lead to injury as the hamster jumps off the top level. The accessories which cames with it are quite small for a Syrian hamster but fine for smaller creatures. My daughter finds the top door difficult to open. We are happy with the cage on the whole.

Very spaciousOur hamster is a lot happier in this cage. There is lots of room to run around and for accesories. He particulary likes the wheel that comes with it. It looks stylish too, much nicer than my previous small brightly coloured plastic cage. So if your looking for a cage that is larger than average and looks good in your living room I would definately recommend this one. |
The Buckingham Palace of hamster cages!Since I bought this cage, my dwarf hamsters have taken up gynmastics! It's lovely to see them enjoying all the space to run and climb and there's plenty of room for all kinds of toys. The cage design gives you excellent visibility of your pets and it's like having a hamster circus in your living room. It's also very quick and easy to clean so your little friends stay in top condition.
