Puppies receive all the nutrients for the first 3 weeks of their lives from their mothers. During the next 3 to 6 weeks, they should start to nibble solid food, the recommended feeding amount should be divided into 3-4 meals soaked in water. At 3 months old, start decreasing the water the food is soaked in.
During the growth phase it is important for your puppy's skeleton to develop a slender body. The recommended food amount should be adjusted to meet the needs of your pet based on his individual activity and growth. Clean and fresh water should be available at all times.
