I have found this to be a high quality, meat packed, high protein, good value complete product with 3 unusual flavours that made a nice change for my cat, who was being a bit picky with her usual food selection at that time. It's a shame they don't sell a 6 pouch mixed trial pack for other customers who are wavering on trying their cat on this product, but are put off by buying a 24 pouch mixed pack in case their cat doesn't like some of the unusual flavours, or even all of them.
My cat is very funny about trying new things and had been used to a very fishy diet before I got her, so the first time I fed her this she wouldn't have anything to do with it. I persevered, and now she's getting braver all round, this had become one of her absolute favourites by the 3rd or 4th sachet. Bowl always licked clean. Best if mashed up with a fork a bit, it separates a little in the sachet. Very high meat-to-jelly ratio, nutritionally complete, good price - very happy.
My rescue cats are surprisingly fussy eaters and I'm always searching for food that they will enjoy. I was concerned that this cat food (with buffalo) might be too 'exotic' for them but in fact they love it.
I bought the ostrich flavour to give my cat a bit of variety. I didn't realise that there was twice as much beef as ostrich in the ingredients - he doesn't like beef and won't eat them.
My two love the kangaroo. They skip about at feeding time!!! Bought for novelty value but will be buying again based on their happy reaction!! They also enjoy the buffalo. They eat the ostritch but not as keen as the other two flavours. Grain free and high meat content also means one happy cat owner.
My 2 cats love the Buffalo and Kangaroo and will never turn their noses up at it but they're definitely not keen on the Ostrich. The consistency is great and as there is no 'juice' to it, they can't lick that and leave the rest!
I tried the Kangaroo one on my four cats and they gobbled it all up! I've tried to change them over from Felix and Gourmet before with no luck, but this is looking promising. I've bought a few varieties lately from Zooplus and am hoping they are met with the same enthusiasm as this one.
My very fussy 16-17yr old cat needed no encouragement eating this. Took one whiff and got stuck straight into it. My other younger cat who is an ex-stray also loved it. One thing I noticed was how both cats licked their paws etc for much longer than usual afterwards and seemed incredibly satisfied. The quality seems very good with more pure meat content. I plan to try them on the Buffalo and Ostrich next.
This seems to be a great hit with Blue so far. He really looks like he's enjoying it, & eats it much quicker than usual. It's also the first food that he totally licks the dish clean. I got the trial 6 pack Ostrich, & will get the 24 pack of the 3 flavours next. It doesn't look the most appetising on the plate, but has no strong smell, and is well formed. Who cares what it looks like once moggie is happy & healthy & doesn't leave me with more tins of food he won't eat :O)
I've really struggled to get my adopted older cat's coat to improve and to keep his fussy tastes satisfied. He also goes off wet food that he once liked. I've now had him on this exotic mix for a 3-4 months now. His coat has improved tremendously. He still eats with relish. I'm thrilled.
my cats are very fussy eaters, but they all loved this and ate every scrap.
I tried my cats on the kangaroo a couple of weeks ago and they couldn't get enough of it. Going to try the ostrich and the buffalo next, hopefully with the same results.
Ordered the kangaroo flavour, my cats and kittens tucked into it with gusto. They've only had one pouch so far but the initial impression seems to be good. My cats don't have thumbs but they give this a paws up!
My cat is 17-18yrs old now and can be quite fussy. I thought I would try this very different tasting food. She loved them. I do not buy it all the time, just every now and then as I do not want her to get bored of it. Good food at great prices.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that my younger cat is addicted to Carny Exotic. She doesn't want to go a day without it, and keeps asking for more after she's licked the bowl clean. We need to order more so that our older cat gets her share too!
Where else in the world can you feed a cat Kangaroo, Ostrich and Buffalo? My cats love the Kangaroo(having previously wolfed down the Kangaroo sticks I’m not surprised) and ate it heartily. Great product and a great site.
I wrote a review on this saying that my old cat liked it, now they all want it and I keep running out! Perhaps they think they are exotic, anyway, fabulous meaty food that everyone enjoys!
My 15 year old cat thought he had tasted everything - but this surprised him and now he looks forward to meal times again!
