Feringa Single Meat Menu Saver Pack 12 x 200g - cat wet food

In a previous review, I recommended this product, but unfortunately its quality has deteriorated a lot. As several others have mentioned, it smells bad, it's grey, the texture has completely changed, and I regularly found 5-6 pieces of bone in a single can. Although my cat still eats it happily, we're switching to another brand because, unfortunately, it's causing symptoms. Such a shame, it used to be a great product!

For over a year, I regularly bought this food for my cats and it was great—until recently. In my last order (I ordered 30 cans of lamb and 30 cans of chicken, so it wasn’t just a problem with one can), when I started serving the food to my cats, I found quite a few things that shouldn’t be there. The chicken had bones in it, which I had to pick out every time I fed them, and the lamb had clumps of black hair. On top of that, the food didn’t smell pleasant.

I find it very disappointing that the listed ingredients/nutritional values are not correct. As the owner of a diabetic cat, I rely on this information being accurate. According to the values given here, the food is suitable, but not according to what's stated on the tin. Now having food at home that I can't use is really annoying.

Boxes whose contents regularly look more like soup than actual pâté. One of my cats has had digestive problems after eating these tins. I’ve been loyal to this brand for years despite a few occasional issues (like finding bits of bone), but I can only note a real drop in quality. I’m giving Feringa one last chance by placing a smaller order (6 tins instead of the usual 36), but this will be the last time.

I bought this wet food for my kittens and I was happy at first, but now it’s happened several times that I find bits of bone or very hard pieces that are dangerous for the animals. Luckily, I always mash and separate the wet food for them and that’s when I come across these bits. In the last can of turkey, there were quite a few pieces of bone.

Both tomcats would rather skip the meal – they go hungry or eventually force themselves to eat a little. Won’t be buying this again – and my cats aren’t usually fussy at all.
