TIAKI Railing Clamp for Telescopic Poles

Three days after being installed, two bars have already fallen down. The installation is complicated, the tightening is imprecise, and the pressure between the floor and ceiling doesn't hold. Guaranteed waste of money...

Bought seven pieces for two balconies, but everything is going back. The rods are very heavy, unstable, and unsafe. After installing them, they just slide back down on their own, ending up crooked so the cat net starts sagging on one side and is pulled really tight on the other. It's dangerous if the rod falls off the balcony or inside onto the window. Really worthless stuff.

The telescopic pole keeps coming loose on its own, and because of the poorly designed base from the manufacturer, it has terrible stability. Unfortunately, very disappointing and not recommended!

At first, I was really happy to finally find rods in the right length that weren’t just ceiling supports from the DIY shop. But after installing them, I’m just frustrated. They keep slipping away, even when they seem secure at first. Unfortunately, they’ve only been up for two weeks and I already have to look for something new. The rods are just useless like this and not safe at all.

I wouldn’t recommend buying these. The rods have been installed for three weeks now, and in that time, all four of them have come loose at least once on their own. If we hadn’t also fitted extra railing clamps, these rods would have been completely useless, as they don’t hold at all and you just can’t rely on them not to fall off the balcony with the slightest gust of wind. Better to spend a few euro more for something decent.

The rod doesn’t stay attached to the ceiling. The plastic threads keep slipping and won’t hold the height. Waste of money, in the end everything will have to be held together with cable ties and plastic clips. The rods themselves just can’t handle it.

Impossible to get the poles to stand firmly and attach securely between the ceiling and floor. Even though I fastened them to the balcony railing with cable ties, they were so unstable that the net couldn’t be put in place safely for the cats. I bought the poles to avoid the hassle of building a wooden frame, but that’s what I had to do anyway. Money wasted.

The parts fall apart already during the first assembly! Plastic pieces suddenly slide down the rod and it's impossible to fix them in place securely anyway. Biggest waste of money!

The bar relies solely on muscle strength to stay in place, which makes it practically impossible to secure it firmly between two surfaces – one end will always be loose and won’t fit tightly, so it doesn’t really do its job properly. If you want to reinforce the netting at the corners of your balcony and you have a roof, it’s much better and actually cheaper to buy a tension rod or pole used in transport – they’re not as nice-looking, but they’re super quick to put up and take down. You just need to make sure you get the right length.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this product. Assembling the rods was extremely time-consuming – it took me about four hours, and even then they still don't hold properly. For the price, I would have expected a much simpler and, above all, more reliable system. The additional brackets for the railing don't fit at all in my case, which makes the whole thing even more frustrating. Overall, I'm very disappointed – I've never had such a bad experience with a product.

At first, I was really impressed with the telescopic rods, but now, after a few months, not anymore. The rods come loose by themselves after 2-3 days and tip over. I tighten them again, but they keep coming loose. It's really annoying 😡, especially since they're not exactly cheap either. I CANNOT recommend these rods.

Spent hours trying to put up 4 poles with netting. We thought we’d finally managed it, But nope, when I came home the next day, they had all collapsed. Luckily, the window was fine. Really regret not reading other people’s reviews. I don’t have any boxes left. Impossible to put them back together. I’d like my money back. Not cheap either. Stop selling them!

Since it’s not a pressure rod, the pole tends to shorten. Luckily, it was anchored to the clamps and also secured to the railing with some cable ties, otherwise with the wind we’ve had these days it would have fallen from the ninth floor. In any case, I had to remove the net because it was clearly dangerous due to the wind and the poles not being suitable…

We wanted to put up a cat net on our balcony using these poles. Unfortunately, the poles kept collapsing in on themselves and, of course, kept falling over. Sadly, we’ll have to keep looking. Definitely not recommended.
