It’s empty in here!
I really like this litter - I've literally tried every other brand, cheap clay, expensive clumping, most popular brands but this is by far my favourite. We've got two cats and this bag lasts for about a month and a half! It's really economical as you cn easily remove lumps and dirty litter with ease. It's really light litter, which is why it tracks but we've put down some rubber door mats (ones with big holes) in front of the boxes so it catches the litter and we can easily hoover it up. Definitely recommend this to everyone.
Finally given this one a go as was getting sick of clay clumping litter smells in our house and outdoor bin. The odour control is fenomenal and even after soiling just has a fresh woody smell to it. Clumps do break up when fishing but this is no concern as it doesn't smell and presumably any stragglers will eventually clump again in due course and be removed. So convenient flushing down the loo and no more smelly bin or trips outdoors with bags of poop! It does track, but providing you have an easy convenience vacuum it's really no trouble. Highly recommended!
Makes the awful side of cat ownership a lot more pleasant, order free and clumps brilliantly it copes with two house cats and is very economical too
Being new to cat ownership I had already tried two other "clumping" litters and been horribly disappointed with how rubbish they were. Only just started using this one and i'm in love already! The clumps are incredible, so easy to remove and don't disintegrate like the other clay based litters i've tried. Leaves the box looking and smelling clean. Yes it does track a little worse than the others but that's a small price to pay for its performance
i used to use worlds best with which i was quite happy and tried this as an alternative. it is incredible when it comes to odour - i live in an appartment and always had a problem with odours to some degree - but not with oko plus - it clumps ok, and i flush it down the toilet. the cats seem to like it as well and use the tray even if it hasn't been emptied. the biggest problem is how messy it is - my cats are ragdolls with very furry paws (which doesn't help) so every morning the floor allover the apartment is like someone got hold of the jar with the oatflakes and started spreading spoonfuls of it liberally all over! really oko people > you got a fab product there on some parts: the odour prevention is really really exceptional and i shall keep on using it for this reason but you really got to sort the texture of it somehow - worlds best was so much better on that front
We have particularly awkward house cats, who have 4 litter trays. Previously we'd used a wood pellet litter, but found we were going through a bag every other day. We initially balked at the price of Cat's Best Oko Plus Cat litter, but decided to give it a try. The cats are happy to use it, the clumping properties are excellent, which means unused litter lasts for ages, plus it can be flushed down the loo. It doesn't smell despite repeat uses, and works out much much cheaper in the long run. Would highly recommend!
This litter is brilliant, it was recommended to me. It clumps well for easy removal, just top up when necessary, my cats like it quite thick and sanitise weekly. Does not stick to cats long fur, bit messy on floor but thats to be expected. I don't flush it down the toilet..
I think I may have overdone it a tad by ordering a 40L packet (oops!) Its pretty MASSIVE!!! but this stuff is great. I love that its flushable. I live in a town house, and Gertrude's kitty loo is upstairs on the top floor. Sooooo its lovely and handy to think I can just scoop and flush, and not have the worry of hauling Gertrude poo down stairs to the outside bin constantly. Im a happy kitty mummy!!! :)
We have tried lots of cheaper brands of cat litter which were a waste of time and money, and have got to say this is the best. We have two cats who share a tray, and a 40L bag lasts us 3 months, which works out at around £2 a week. The secret to using this litter is to have it deep enough so that the urine doesn't reach the bottom of the tray, forming a solid ball which is easily removed leaving no soggy mess at the bottom of the tray. Yes as everyone mentions it does track but a long handled brush and pan set are easy to use. Cats are happy, purse is happy, so I am happy.
This is the best Cat Litter I have ever used for my cat...and I have tried many. It does what it says on the pack and keeps odours to a minimum and the price is excellent from Zooplus.
I have tried a number of types of cat's litter and this is definitely the best, most eco-friendly as well! I found wood pellets difficult to dispose of in an eco manner; the idea was to put on the compost heap (having flushed any waste down the toilet) but this just resulted in a colony of rats taking up residence! I also tended to have saw-dust all over the house, and had to change the litter every couple of days. I was going to try the World's Best Cat Litter made from whole kernel corn but the mice (in the garage) beat me to it obviously thinking it tasty to eat! However, I haven't had the same problems with Cat's Best Oko Plus, and as the pellets can remain in the tray for up to 6 weeks with occasional top ups when the level goes down with removal of waste, it is super economical as well. The granuals do tend to come out the box on the cat's feet, but no where near as bad as the wood pellets. The granuals clump really well, leading to easy removal of waste into the toilet. In the last few days before I clean out the litter boxes properly I let the amount of litter run down, so I am only disposing of a small amount of litter into the rubbish bin (bagged up of course!). Excellent stuff!
I've been using this for a few years now and have no intention of changing. Good value for money as it's long lasting, there's no odour and it clumps really well. Yes it's a pain when it tracks all over the flat but that's something I can live with. I like the fact that it's environmentally friendly, I don't put it down the loo but then that's just me. Highly recommend it to everyone !
Have been using this litter for 3 cats for the past 3 years. It does track easily, but it is one of the best litters I have tried. Clumps can easily be removed, even the small ones. I shake the litter box which brings the smaller clumps to the surface which are then removed. If the litter is allowed to stand in the box too long then it does become powdery at the base, but I completely empty the box regularly, by letting the litter level reduce over a few days, then the base dust can be removed. I find the odour control is good.
Best litter I have found, excellent clumping good odour control. A little more expensive but worth it. Good price and deal with zooplus so stocked up!
This is great litter. Clumps easily to scoop out. Does not smell. Lasts ages without having to change litter.
My cats love this litter. It's soft on their feet and it lasts a long time between changes
Having looked after cats for many years and in that time I have tried lots of different types of cat litter - this is by far is the best I have used. I have 2 cats at the moment and both like using the litter, which is a must, and when they have used it, the clumping action makes it so easy to clean and therefore very economical. I have recommended it to friends and family and once tried they will use nothing else.
Our kitties are very sensitive to earth and crystal based cat litters, so when I found this natural, biodegradable and sustainable litter at a much more reasonable price than some of the more expensive competitors, I decided to test it. They immediately took to it and consistently go in the litter tray when before this was a hit and miss affair! They have used it for about two years now. The tracking of litter around the house is much lower and it is easy to clear up as it clumps into sizes that can easily be retrieved. It is also odor absorbent but only if the cats remember to bury their deposits! Very good value and does the job :)
This is by far my favorite litter I've ever used. We have two cats and two boxes; I scoop the litter every 1-2 days and flush down the toilet. The clumps are slightly delicate, but they work. The big difference is, I only change the whole boxes about once a month--and there is no smell! (I have had catless friends come to my house and comment on the fact that "people who have cats usually have smelly houses, and you don't".) Scoop carefuly, top up a little if needed, and this is a long-lasting, clean-smelling cat litter solution.
The fact that this litter can be flushed makes life so much easier, my litter tray is kept by the bathroom so all I need to do is scoop and flush whenever my cat uses it, Keeps smell down and saves on having to clean whole tray out as often
This has to be the best cat litter we have tried. Cheaper litters are a complete waste of money. We have two cats who share a tray and a 40 litre bag lasts us exactly 12 weeks, which works out at £2 a week, so it's not expensive at all. It forms a complete ball of urine which is so easy to just scoop out, and covers up lingering smells too, I've found the secret is too have a good 4 inches of litter in the tray so the urine doesn't reach the bottom when they go for a pee, so this keeps the litter underneath dry, (no soggy mess at the bottom of tray as with other litters). I do a scoop of the tray 3 times a day which helps keep things fresh, sanitise once a week and top up as required, my cats are happy, so we are happy, it does track about the floor near the tray, but that's what a dust pan and brush are for (get a long handled one so no bending). Certainly will be sticking with this litter.
I ve used cheaper cat litters in the past and found they work out dearer in the end. No smell off litter tray with this litter
I am going to carry on using Cat's Best Gold because my kitten prefers it but OKO PLUS is also really good, just a touch more tracking. Quite good value for such good product.
I was using the cheap wood pellet litter, which was fine, but this is much kinder on little paws and although it's about twice the price per litre it looks like it's going to last me at least four times as long. Thoroughly recommended.
Bought this due to reading good reviews both here and on some forums. I wonder if they've changed the production process as I found that, tracking-wise, it's nothing special, and it doesn't clump nearly as well as I'd hoped. I've tried other brands of a similar size and consistency and find the previous brand I used was better. The wee clumps seem to break apart when touched, which is rather annoying as they start falling through the scoop's sieve. Also I noticed that, with Oko Plus, within a week it did not seem to be soaking all the wee up, as after scooping up the clumps holding to the base of the tray, it was leaving wet trails in the tray. This is only after less than a week's use and only by one albeit large kitten. After I finish what I've got, I will be trying other brands or perhaps go back to what I was using originally.
I tried all products, but this one is the best. I will never use any other again. This one is also suitable to flash in toilet, amazing, no odours, liquid becames gel, the best!!!!!
This litter is the best I've ever used and I've used quite a few!! It clumps well as long as your cat is healthy!! I.e. One of mine had bladder crystals so it wasn't so good then due to the small quantities of urine. He is fixed now and this litter is brilliant as I can tell imediately if he is having any difficulty. The only negative is that they do tend to throw it out of the litter box but that is a small price to pay for an otherwise excellent product. Highly recommend it.
Wanted to find a cat litter that was environmentally friendly, and also easy to clean from the tray. Previously were using a supermarket own brand word pellet style. Was perfectly happy with it but thought would try something new. Improvement is that rather than becoming loose, damp wood dust, this does form clumps - much easier to remove! There is a little bit of tracking, but we have hardwood floors, and it's day to sweep a few grains up. Our cats are both allowed out during the day, so the litter tray is mostly used at night. However, one appears to like this litter so much has used it twice in two day (since we had it) when she had access to the outdoors. I took that as an endorsement :-)
I think this litter is fantastic and wouldn't use anything else, there's no smell from the tray and although it tracks a little bit I don't find it a problem, maybe as I have wooden floors so it can be swept up easily. It lasts for ages too. But please be careful of the claims that you can flush it!! I used to flush the clumps down the loo but recently had a nasty blockage and had to pay a big bill to get it cleared. The man informed me it was most likely due to the litter and not to do this again! took about 3 years for this to happen but still it was a hassle and expense I could have done without.
Having tried all kinds of other litters, I purchased this just before Christmas, as I couldn't get hold of my usual brand. It seemed very expensive, but I thought I'd give it a try. My 2 Bengals are fine with it, BUT the amount of tracking is awful :( And yes, even using a tracker mat (unless anyone knows of one that works with this litter?) Reading the other reviews, I see this is a common remark, so come on Cat's Best, I'd buy it again even with the cost (it DOES last for ages, and there is no odour problem, and mine are indoor cats)if you could just do something about the tracking! Thanks :)
I clean clumps out as soon as I see them and have had no residual smells. This is the first litter I can say that about!! The litter is soft and I like the fact it's biodegradable. It does track a little but on my wooden floors that is easily swept up and is preferable to gritty particles getting trodden in.
I have two indoor cats, boy and girl and have tried literally every litter that promises odour reduction. Catsan worked for a while but I think they have changed something in it. I also used Natural and Clean but required two bags at £6 each and only lasting a week/ten days. So I bit the cost bullet and bought this. I can honestly say it is the best litter I have used. The cats like it, it hides the odours, it is flushable (was dubious about that but hey it works!), and does not stick to the bottom of the tray like the other litters. It is slightly messier than other litters but that is a tiny complaint. I have a hoover, I use it! I bought a 30l bag at the beginning of December 2014 and have now just finished it. In the long run the cost, for me, is worth it.
This is the best cat litter I have tried so far. It is easily flushed down the toilet and does not smell like some other makes do.
I have tried dozens of different cat litters from cheap to expensive ones and NOTHING HAS BEEN AS GOOD AS THIS! Pros:- lightweight cork like texture (no more scratching my wooden floors like harder/grittier litter)/ SUPERB odour control unlike any other I have tried...about 95% effective... no kidding!/VERY economical/soft on cats paws/easy to handle and move big bag around/ Compostible if wished and can also be flushed down the toilet! Cons:- Just one....due to it's lightweight texture, it does get carried around the house more but this is a very small price to pay for all the numerous benefits. I WAS SPENDING £17.80 a month for four bags of a good quality, odour controlled, clumping cat litter and was reluctant to spend £20+ on one bag but I'm so glad I did. I have two indoor cats and I remove soiled litter a minimum of three times per day. One bag (40L) lasts me a good three months. I have saved so much money with this litter. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Been using this litter for quite a while & found it to be great for my 3 Maine Coons. But recently it's not clumping as well & tracking far more :(
10/10 Better at controlling odour than odour control litters, no dust, clumps amazingly, lasts for absolutely ages because you just remove the muck with minimal litter. The tracking is manageable and worth it for all the good this litter brings. The price is amazing for how long you get from it, I won't use anything else now.
Have used Cats Best for a few years. I like the extra large bag for my six cats, but the downsides are: it used to clump well but doesn't anymore, it degrades and becomes powdery/dusty fairly quickly and lastly it tracks badly even with a mat in front of it.
To repeat other reviews, it tracks easily out of the box. But my personal least favourite aspect of it was the smell - not of my cat's waste but of the product itself - kind of sour, burnt, weird coffee - yuk! I much prefer the freshness of wood pellets and as I compost all the litter (except faeces and faeces contaminated litter of course), I think wood chip/sawdust are much better as a biodegradable, nice smelling product that composts well
I have three gorgeous kitties and had always used wood based litter however found that I was forever changing it and concerned about a smell when the cats had been for a widdle. I bought this in a small bag to try and was hesitant about the reviews for it lasting so long. I needn't have worried! The troublesome trio took to it immediately and I was amazed how quickly it absorbed the liquid. Literally leaving a little firm ball like clump. Easy to flush down the toilet as stated on the bag and as for the smells. Gone!!! I couldn't believe it. I have just finished that 5ltr bag and it lasted almost 5 weeks. Amazing!!!!
As a cat littler this does the job, clumps well, neutralises the odours and is economical. BUT - it is all over the house. I will be glad when this bag is finished and I can order something else - it being economical it is going to be some time lol..
