It’s empty in here!
This is a great product! It takes my cat much longer to get the kibbles out than a normal treat ball. Also it’s always easy to find due to the size.
I have this exact same pipolino & have had it for 9 years. My 3 kilo Burmese worked it out in approx. minutes - she is very bright, the maine coon took a couple of hours. Sadly as they have both developed severe allergies to dry food I no longer use this but, it works even for tiny cats. Have given to my sister & her moggie uses it with no problems at all.
I bought this a few months ago and my cat loves it. It is more expensive than other treat dispensers but I would say that it is worth the price. It is very sturdy and gives her hours of entertainment. She gets all of the food out of smaller type treat dispensers within minutes, and they usually get batted under the sofa or disappear somewhere. The pipolino is big and poses a proper challenge to her, giving her fun and exercise while I am at work, and she cannot lose it under furniture. I used to feel guilty leaving her alone in the house while I went to work, but now I pop a few treats in the pipolino and know that she is occupied. The only thing I would suggest for future improvements would be some set levels for difficulty, with numbers around the cap to indicate the setting. It can be hard to tell how easily the food will come out just by looking as there are so many holes of different sizes. (You can move it around to test the difficulty, but if your cat is like mine she will hoover up all of the treats during this process!)
This is very well built and an excellent idea for feeding your cat. I have 4 cats who all use these( I have bought 2), and now this is their only source of food - no food bowls in kitchen. I have a greedy cat who seems to wolf down her food whole and is then often sick all over the carpet. I have tried the specially designed dog food bowls to stop her gobbling her food down, which has helped, but thus is even better. She now has to work to get her food piece by piece by rolling this feeder and so has stopped being sick. These have quite a large capacity and 2 of these last my 4 cats over 2 days and my 2 young boys cats eat loads. My cats were already use to treat balls, so I immediately filled these and removed their food balls. After a few days they were all using them and after a week they stopped asking for their food bowls in the kitchen. It's great fun watching my cats work out how to get their food, some roll it forwards, some push it with nose or paw an d one even sticks her tongue in the holes to lick the food out. Very pleased I took the plunge and bought these - expensive, but hopefully sturdy enough to last.
Well built, robust, easy to clean and use possibly one of the best food dispensing toys we have brought for our cat. Being a big cat he knocks heck out of treat balls and wobble dispensers emptying them in seconds. This one being heavier and having differing difficulties provides more of a challenge to our food obsessed boy keeping him busy for longer. I wouldn't recommend this for small size cats as it is quite big (apparently on the box this is a medium size) heavy and a lot harder to move than other treat balls.
My cats took a while to work out what to do but this is now very popular with them!! It is a quality product and quite large (on the plus side, it's not going to get lost somewhere), I like the colours of it too.
My husband keeps out of shopping for cats but he noticed this and how well and sturdy it is made. The cats like it, I put their treats in as I leave the house on the long days I am working and it keeps them busy.
Keeps my Burmese happy all day, took 3 or 4 days for her to deign to use it. Need another for my fat boy who needs more exercise. It is big, but, I can get a weeks food in & most importantly, make it easier, or, harder to get the food. I change it most days & it really staves off the boredom. Treat balls are for treats, this is for food!Expensive - perhaps, but, it has lasted 4 years & is still going strong. Easy to wash in the dishwasher too!
It is expensive! but its easy to fill, fits two days worth of food for two cats and best point does not fit under the sofa (I often have to hunt for the feeder balls as they have got them stuck somewere). My sugestion wait for a good offer and get it whilst its reduced it is a good feeder can't see that justifys the full price.
My two girls knew immediately what to do with it because they already know the snack ball. So I was only once shocked how big the Pipolino is:) But why should it cost so much money I have not yet found out:) Conclusion: well accepted by my kities but a little expensive for me. Still a good buy.
