It’s empty in here!
Thank heaven it's back in stock! I have 3 old rescue moggies with kidney problems who rely on this food (plus 6 others of ages between 1 and 12 years who all love it) and I had to do roundabout shipment from Germany zooplus to my parents in Germany to me in Ireland. I hope stock never runs out again! :) This food seems to be very tasty and my oldies with renal problems have stopped vomiting and feel and look much healthier and happier since we started them on Josera Carismo nearly 2 years ago.
I have been buying the Josera Carismo for quite some time now and am delighted with it. So are my cats. I have 10 rescue cats, ages 2-15. Most have some health issue, be it mild HC, renal issues, bladder issues, arthritis, sensitive stomachs.... but it seems that they all love this dry food and it stopped the almost daily vomiting of some. The price is excellent, and the 10 kg bag lasts me for about 7 weeks (as they get wet food as well).
He seems to really, really likes this food. Thank you.
I'm very gratefully to have found this. My 20 year old kitty had gone off the usual prescription diet food from the vet and so we were quite desperate. We shopped with zooplus a couple of times so we thought we would check them out. They had lots of renal food in sample sizes which meant we could try him on lots.It was his best week. This was however his favourite and he's now on his third bag and still chomping happily. Couldn't be more pleased.
Both my birmans, now 17 years old, with a poor renal condition, relish this food. It is so good to see them eating with such enthusiasm. They have actually put on weight despite the vet's dire warnings of their imminent demise. Remember to give them lots of water to drink alongside this food.
I have to echo the other reviews as to how much my cat likes this. She was recently diagnosed with early signs of renal failure, so I switched her to a renal diet. I bought three different kinds, this, Royal Canin and the Integra Protect. The Josera Carisma is much smaller, ideal for my cat as she doesn't have many teeth left either and basically swallows the biscuits whole - when the biscuits are too large they have a tendency to come back up. These are much darker and more meaty looking than the other ones I tried, and seem a little more moist too. Unfortunately they do have a higher phosphorous content than the other products I tried, so I've been trying to mix them with the Royal Canin, as that has the lowest. Having said that, I can't argue with the way that she enjoys them!
Have been giving this to my lovely cat for about a week now and she thinks its yummy! Issy has CRF & pancreatitus and hardly any teeth! She has been going through stages where she will hardly eat and i have tried numerous things; so happy to have discovered these. The other good thing about them are the biscuits are quite small, so easier for her to eat. i think they must have cat-nip on them!
My cat is a rescue cat, and somewhere around 15 years old. When we got him, he was in such a bad way that all his teeth were infected and rotten, and had to be removed by the vet. We'd been feeding him wet food, but had a suspicion he was more used to dry food, judging by the way he'd come running whenever we reached for a cereal box, so we tried him on this stuff. I bought the smaller bag, and he loved it. He seriously wolfs this stuff down and seemed to love every mouthful of it, and the small size of the food itself means not having any teeth hasn't disadvantaged him in any way. Bless him. Great stuff. Will definitely be buying again.
There are two things you need to know about my cat. 1) He has CRF 2) He has no teeth. Therefore, I'd been avoiding giving him dry food, as I didn't think he'd be able to eat it. But after he started to get obsessed with those Whiska's temptations, I caved in and started adding a couple of handfuls of dry food to his usual wet renal diet - and he seemed to really enjoy it. He seems to really, really likes this stuff. Hurray!
