It’s empty in here!
I've bought Oko plus in the past but changed to Greenwoods as I got fed up with the dustiness and breaking clumps of the former. Greenwoods is so much better, it clumps well and isn't dusty. As for pooling wee (lazy cat!) I just cover it with the litter and it clumps in seconds. Tracking is not a problem, like Oko.
I needed to change my cat litter as it was making dusty paw prints on my carpets decided to try a natural one. I have used this for two days and i am impressed it does not track, clumps really well, even better it flushes down the toilet so no more bags and bin for me, and a nice fresh woody smell, its so light to handle. I fully recommend this product.
My cats have been using World´s Best Cat Litter for over 7 years and have been pleased with it. Recently, while ordering one, saw an offer for Greenwoods Natural Clumping Litter. After reading some reviews, and the fact that it was on an offer, I decided to give it a try. At first, it made me regret a bit as it doesn´t clump as firm as World´s Best. Also, found the smell of the wood a bit strong. These were my first impression. Lucky it was not an expensive shopping and I though it does not get any chance to come back to my place again. However, yes, a few days later, I realised that there is no dust!!! World´s Best does form quite a lot making whole place dusty, even covering my dear cats paws with loads of it. I only flush poo to the toilet but wee bit goes into a bin. I realised that there is no smell of unrine any more, not because of the woody smeall but really no smell, and during this trial time, all of us got quite used to Greenwoods Natural. It´s up to each single cat and peron´s likings I guess, but I would not hesitate to recommend it to other people (and cats). I still have 12kg World´s Best bag, but when it´s emptied, I will replace it with Greenwoods. Someone wrote it is the same as OKO or even worse. I have not used it so can´t give any opinion on that, but I am very pleased with this one and look forward to dust free environment.
I have three house cats and four litter trays, so keeping the place clean can be a nightmare. I had been using wood based and emptying completely twice a week, otherwise the trays just weren't clean enough for one of the cats and he would find elsewhere. This was so wasteful, a full binbag of litter twice a week! Tried this stuff and it's great, I can flush it so there's a lot less in my bin and because it clumps there's only a little that needs removing so it's much less wasteful! The same litter has been in the trays for well over a week now, removing the clumps and poo daily and my fussy cat has no problems using the trays, win win! Much less tracking than with wood based litter, that stuff got everywhere!
I started my kitten on cheapo clumping clay litters, but soon got fed up with the smell and having to bag and bin each day. i looked for something better that you wouldnt have to take a hammer and chisel to in order to clean the tray. I tried oko plus.... it was great, nice smell, clumped well and flushable/compostable. the only issues were that it got quite dusty and tracked terribly. After 6 months use i decided to try worlds best, which i had heard was alot better, and cheaper, especially if you buy it from farms as "chicken scratch" (its the same). it was horrid. the smell was not great, it clumped well but there was a dust cloud that fogged up the bathroom, which considering it is a closed tray, was not nice at all. the cat was coughing and sneezing constantly with it too. one large pack lasted my cat one month. about a 1/4 the time it says it will last. however, it tracked a lot less and was also flushable/compostable. I intended to switch back to oko, but found greenwoods which is similar to oko and also flushable/compostable, so i decided it was worth a try. after over a months use all i can say is Wow. it smells very similar to the pleasant natural woody oko smell. it weighs less than oko, and the odour control seems to be a lot better. it clumps really well and the clumps seem to stay together instead of breaking into smaller bits like oko does. someone on here said they noticed a pooling of pee, yes this has happened to me, but it happened with oko as well. I think its less a flaw with the litter and more a case of a lazy "cant be bothered to cover it as it works well" cat. the "problem" is rectified simply by throwing litter on the top for 2 seconds before scooping whilst cleaning... then it soaks up and clumps as normal. Hardly a problem as it takes a lot less time than sifting small bits from the oko which happened daily!. The litter in each of two trays has lasted longer than both of the other two combined so far and there is no dust, unlike the others. my cats coughing and sneezing has cleared up completely. it still tracks, worse than worlds best, but better than oko as it doesn't stick to legs as much. this is not such an issue as all litters track to some extent, its soft underfoot should you tread on it and very easily hoovered up each day. overall i am extremely satisfied with this product and it would take a lot to stop me using it. im surprised there are still people out there that prefer to scoop into a bag and stick it outside in the bin. flushable litters are brilliant. no fuss, no landfill, no extra work, just flush down the loo and let it be treated properly. throw the remainder of the tray away in the compost, or slowly down the loo when you need to clean the tray. so far with greenwoods the trays have not been cleaned or topped up (6weeks) and still smell as fresh as the first day. this product is awesome
I have 3 cats, two Siamese and one half Siamese, all mainly house cats and even when they do venture out to the garden they all traipse back into the house to use the litter tray. I have tried numerous litters over the the years and this one comes up pretty good. It clumps very well, is lightweight, seems to mask unpleasant smells, no dust, good size bags BUT contrary to what other reviewers have said it does track and I am constantly hoovering up which is hard work and annoying. I may have to revert to Cats Best Gold as so far is the least non tracking litter I can find unless someone can advise me otherwise please?😄
I bought this to try out if it is as good as reviews are and I am delighted to say it is awesome! It doesn't live smell and it clumps very good! Great product for your cat!
After starting out with Sanicat Pink clay non-clumping (and house staining) litter, I tried Breeder Celect Paper pellets as a natural, less cloudy alternative - well that was instantly just a soggy mess. Since then I've been putting up with sandy wood pellet litter which scatters and crumbles all over the house!! I saw that Greenwoods Natural was on offer and thought I'd give it a try. I realise that I probably have little to compare it to, (I haven't tried the 'World's Best' or 'OkoPlus' litters that some others have mentioned), but so far I'm really impressed. It clumps well, doesn't become sandy, doesn't track far from the tray, smells quite neutral and seems to mask the toxic stench that is cat poop. (I've had my cats for nearly 3 years and I still can't quite believe how such cute little things could produce such a smell!!) Definitely continuing with this from now on! :)
When I first saw this litter I was a little sceptical that it would clump well but I was very pleasantly surprised. It clumps brilliantly and quickly, I am able to lift wet waste immediately. It absorbs smells well, it lasts for ages and I love it because it is so light. I have tried many cat litters but this is one of the best I have tried so far. I also really like the fine clumping cat litters like the baby powder scented Tigerino Canada as they clump brilliantly but find the bags very heavy to carry, but I can even lift the 30 litre bags of this litter. Will definitely continue to buy this litter in the future. One of my cats lost some of his hair on his back legs which must be due to the other litters I have used as I have now noticed his hair is re-growing since using this litter - highly recommend.
Usually use oko cats best litter but thought I'd give this a try as it looked similar and it's just as good and cheaper!
I've tried quite a few different litters for my boy - non clumping, silica & latterly Cat's Best Oko Plus clumping & it definitely is NOT the best - this is!! C B clumped but they fell apart when removing them from the tray & don't get me started on the subject of tracking!!! This one however is a world apart from that. He has only been using it for 2 days but there's no tracking & the clumps stay solid - win, win!
We bought this litter because we wanted something different to Cat's Best Öko Plus. Cat's Best was unfortunately very dusty so I couldn't clean out my cats' litter tray without having a coughing fit. We went for Greenwoods instead and it was a great choice. It's not at all dusty, it clumps really well, the grains are no bigger than Cat's Best, and it's really economical. We'll buy it again.
A good alternative to clay litter. I was amazed by how light the bag was. I have 4 cats so I have to lug quite a few bags of litter up the stairs to my flat - your back will really appreciate how light this litter is. It clumps very well so it's great for multi-cat households. The clumps don't lose their firmness when the cats are rummaging around in their litter or when I'm cleaning out the tray. There isn't a smell from the litter tray either. My cats like to flick their litter around a bit as well, so I'm glad that it's soft enough that you can walk over it in bare feet.
I've been trying this out for the last two weeks and am very happy with it. It hasn't ended up being tracked all over our flat at all and it smells pleasant too. My only issue (and this is really just me being fussy) is that the 30l bag would be better with a handle. At the moment it's very awkward to carry and it's difficult to tip into the litter tray.
I couldn't resist this amazing price! I generally only use eco-friendly litter, like Cat's Best Öko Plus or other wood-based litters. Greenwoods is so much better than all of them. It seems a bit coarser than Cat's Best (slightly larger grains), which means it doesn't get stuck on my cat's paws and then get tracked around the flat. It absorbs very well and is great at locking in bad smells - just as good as Cat's Best Öko Plus. My advice: try it now!
Clumps are easy to flush. I've got 3 cats and this litter keeps the smell down.
It's really good. Natural scent, isn't dusty and the clumps can be flushed down the loo without a problem. I like that my cat doesn't track it around the house on her paws.
The litter smells really pleasant and isn't dusty when you fill up the tray. It clumps well. I'll see how economical it is once I've tested it for longer.
