We changed our labrador's food for a month and her coat became very dull. We changed back to Burns Adult fish and brown rice food and her coat is now is lovely and glossy. Really impressed with this food.
I have been feeding my 9 year old Labrador on Burns food for most of her life with different flavours.... I can’t speak highly enough of it. It is excellent, she loves it, easily digested, (poo doesn’t have the bad smell tinned food does) Her coat is shiny and excellent condition. She is a good weight, not fat. I weigh her food each day, to maintain her weight. The food in the last 15kg bag from Zooplus was in perfect condition, not crushed and I expect this will be the same.
I thought my troubled rescue pointer/lab cross would be impossible to train, but a behaviourist gave us sound advice and insisted we switch him to Burns immediately, nothing else would do. I was skeptical but she was 100% right, within 24 hours on Burns he'd stopped biting and destroying furniture, and calmed down to a point where we could start to teach him. Now he's a beautiful young dog with a bright future ahead of him. Thank you Burns!
We changed our dog from another well-known dry brand to Burns in an attempt to cure itchy skin and very unpleasant flatulence: well, a result on both counts. Daisy now doesn't scratch, and the smells have stopped completely, so thanks to Burns!
This is the best site for pet food and products. Great customer service too
I feed my leonberger bitch on this. Her coat is in fantastic condition. She loves it & jumps about when she knows its feeding time. Because its high quality you feed less so it lasts a lot longer
Our chocolate labrador used to suffer with really bad upset stomachs. We have tried a variety of different foods and this one is the best for her, she enjoys the taste and is really healthy and since going on to this food she has not had any stomach problems.
I order Burns Lamb & Brown rice (15kg) for my mum, as they have 3 Greyhounds who 'wolf' this down (excuse the pun!). But they love it and it's a good quality food too, and for a great price as always with Zooplus. My mum was buying this at a much higher price on the High Street, so I suggested I ordered it for her instead as I'm always ordering food for my cats. The savings she has made on it by buying it online is fantastic - so much so, that my sister is now ordering through Zooplus for Burns dried food for her dog too! So I'm getting my whole family into Zooplus now :)
Loves this food. She would prefer moist food of course but she has a very sensitive stomach, and has and does suffer from bad colitis. During dry food periods this is what she gets and she really seems to enjoy it.
This burns food is great my dog has been on it since been a puppy. Her coat is in a fantastic off it .
fantastic complete food. Both my dogs started out on burns and my previous dog was switched later in life and got on very well too. All have had lots and lots of complements on their coats and they have little or no wind! Definitely a bonus, as is not much waste to clear up in the garden! Worth the price.
My dog loves this food and I am able to maintain her now acceptable weight with it's use. This was becoming difficult as she is a 13/14 year old GSD with CDRM and cannot run about as she used to. Thank you Burns and LSO Zooplus for your prompt service.
Recommended by our vets for a smooth coat, good for bones teeth and has all the vitamins and nutritional value needed for a healthy dog ! Our Boarder Collie loves it, we mix with Burns wet and her coat is like silk! Highly recommend this product to anyone as it's formula works for all adult dogs workers or not!
It's a great place to buy quality product at reasonnable price. The products are delivered on time and it's nice to get present from time to time. The fidelity plan is a fantastic bargain and I love to be able to get presents for my dog with award points. It's like Christmas!
We have 4 Cavapoos and a Toy Poodle all on Burns they really enjoy this food and finish every meal which can sometimes be a little tricky with small dogs. Our dogs coats are glossy and a lot less knotty than before. They poo much less too which is great for me having 5 to pick up after! We have bred a litter of puppies who we also weaned on Burns Mini Puppy they are doing really well and the new owners have changed there other dogs on to Burns with great results. Can't fault it and the Zooplus Service is fab no more struggling with heavy bags for me!
I bought this for my 2 dogs and they absolutely love it, which is great since I believe Burns benefits the dogs in so many ways. Zooplus were by far the cheapest I'd found anywhere and there delivery service was extremely quick, I also liked the fact I received both an email and a text message to say exactly when the food would be arriving, Great product and fantastic service, I will definitely be back soon.
Really had problems with our Labrador with tummy upsets when she was a puppy we changed to Burns puppy and have never looked back, she's now on adult and would not change it
Zooplus has saved me a lot of money and also given FREE gifts, delivery is so low it isn't worth me leaving the house I do it all on-line. A few friends have now converted over to Zooplus kepp up the good work.
Our 2 Labradors - mum and daughter aged 6 and 3 years have been feeding on Burns Fish & Rice since they were pups. It may appear expensive at first but a 15 kg bag lasts approx a month @ £40 per bag. Divided by 2 well exercised and hungry Labs that is less than £1 a day for 2 bowls each. High quality feed means less quantity (cheap fillers) and therefore less waste. They are both fit and healthy with beautiful glossy clean coats, excellent digestion, great teeth and clean breath. In our view it is worth paying slightly more for the long term health and digestive benefits our girls are enjoying.
the only food what my GSD and husky will consistently eat My GSD is a lazy eater so he finds the crunchiness better for him their coats are lovely and shining
Jack is a collie who was rescued and in a dreadful state, he had the most 'sensitive' tummy and has also suffered campilobactor, after scavenging the streets before he was rescued :-( someone suggested Burns as every other food we had tried upset his tummy and its been his diet now for 10 years! zooplus makes his meals especially affordable by offering the bulk deal at a reduced price and then including a further discount or free gift makes it a real bargain. I LOVE zooplus. As money gets 'tighter,' in the tough economic climate, you make our lives easier and Jack's tummy a happy one!
Excellent dog food my two German Shepherds Aged 18 months and 34 months.Love this as part of their daily meals. The youngest had allergies, really settled on this Coats gleaming, Teeth very white Breaths so fresh Thank you
My Lab puppy had Campylobactor and we had terrible trouble with regular bouts of diarrhea and our vets put her on a prescription diet. This was a nightmare as it didn't satisfy her, and being a labrador food is of upmost important to her! Once the bacteria had gone, I moved her onto this product. It was a really smooth transition and I had great advice from Burns themselves on the best products for her and how to move her onto this food without causing further stomach upsets and how much she should be fed as she is only 8 months old now. She loves the food and is now thriving. It doesn't smell that fishy, produces far less waste product, and even satisfies my labrador. I would recommend it anyone. Fantastic price with Zooplus
At last I have found a food that my Papillon will eat.He had the campylobactor thing when he was younger with recurring bouts, and food has never been his favourite thing,in fact he was anerexic..I tried everything to tempt him to eat...then BINGO by chance...we found Fish and brown rice..He is 2 years old now and eats and is more than keen to eat,he gets some table scraps veg etc ,but truley he just loves his fishy kibble..hooo rarrr.
We have been using Burns dry dog food for the past 2 yrs for our black labs. It is good quality and great for their stomachs, not much mess to clear up either!. We used it for our 13yr old lab ( who unfortunately had to be put to sleep on 16th Sept) and it helped with his kidney and liver function. Now we only have a 2yr old lab and he has a fantastic shiny coat and loads of energy. We will certainly be keeping him on this food and only wish we had discovered it when our older dog was young. Have just recieved our 1st order from Zooplus and cant fault the service, delivery and price. Also got a free sqeaky chicken and a pack of dog treats!,our young lab is a bit wary of the sqeaky toy but thats because he is a big softie!!.
My dog had campylobacter when he was younger and has always had irregular bouts of diarrhoea. He is also quite picky and not a keen eater. I was recommended Burns dry food by a veterinary nurse and decided to give it a go because, even after 18months, I hadnt found a food that kept my dogs bowel movements consistent and that he would eat with any enthusiasm. Since he has been on Burns fish and brown rice (mixed with a small amount of nature diet fish and veg to make a gravy) he has normal, solid bowel movements. He only goes once a day now instead of 3 or 4 and they are easy to pick up. He doesnt have the nasty wind that he used to have and he eats with enthusiasm even towards the end of the 15g bag! So, if you have a dog that is prone to upset tummies Burns fish and rice is certainly worth a try.
Our 3 dogs are very settled on this food. Their coats have a good sheen. For some reason our springer spaniel couldn't tolerate the Burns chicken and rice and so we moved all the dogs onto the lamb and rice and now have a very happy household!
My woofers love this food. It is great for both of them (large mixed breeds) especially the smaller one who has an intolerance for some foods. Pooper scooping is a breeze and the slight fishy odour is just that - slight - nothing to be concerned about if it has put you off buying this variety before. All Burns foods are ethically sound - such an important choice if you care about animals - seriously - some of the other major manufacturers should be ashamed. I leave you to make the choice. Great value on this website too - well done ZooPlus :0)
My 2 Black Labradors thrive on this and have done for several years. They enjoy it and I wouldn't buy anything else, especially taking into account the not so small matter of picking up their poo! Other manufacturers' dry dog food 'residues' always seem to smell much worse. And the food itself doesn't smell fishy either so is fine to handle.
Since we started using this product Lottie's coat shines and she is so fit and bouncy - I know English Spaniels are bouncy - she is now just 7 years old and runs round after her tennis ball as if she is still a puppy - recommeded to all dog owners
I have 3 staffies two of which have skin allergys due to various things. Having been recommended Burns by a dog trainer, I haven't looked back. My youngest staffie seemed calmer and not as hyperactive within weeks of being on it, and skin complaints and itchyness dissapeared over a matter of weeks. Their stool samples are smaller, solid and much less smellier and all 3 have significantly less flatulance!!! They all inhale their food and look forward to each meal time, they love pork & potato and fish & brown rice. Having recently moved to the Netherlands for 3 years too, I am extreemely thankful that Zooplus are able to deliver in Europe and that they offer such an efficient and prompt service.
It has taken me a year but FINALLY I find a dog food that does does not irritate my dog. I have a two year old staffy who has had terrible skin and ear problems due to food allergies - I tried every Hypo allergenic food there is (including RC and Science Plan) before picking up a bag of this as we had run out - Within a week her skin was not itchy, her ear swelling had virtually gone and she is full of energy - plus point is she loves it. Great product.
I fed my 2 boxers on this and now my rescued staffie. I found it the best food for a glossy coat which is much admired, energy and easy clean up poo's. I can't reommend it highly enough for keeping a dog fit and healthy
I have fed my two dogs on Burns Chicken & brown rice for a year now and they are in great condition with shiny coats and good teeth, they are full of energy too.I would not change to any other brand!
I have given my dogs Burns food for a very long time, in my opinion it it the best dog food you can buy. My Border collie has a coat that looks as though it has been polished, it is that shiny. You could not tempt me to change to another brand whatever you offered.
my two westies love it, and their looking great.it my thumbs up
Our rottie was on Royal Canin from pup. We had her on Maxi Junior before changing to Burns. She had always needed her anal glands emptied every 6 weeks and she often whiffed a bit, which is !NOT GOOD! in a home. Anyway through my own reading I decided to try Burns as one of the lower protein feeds available. She now has no more nasty pongs. Her coat seems more healthy than ever. She is also slightly less crazy which I put down to the lower protein also. Overall very happy and no intention of changing from Burns. Although I may try the chicken next time as the fish does stink out the cupboard a bit!
I do agility, heel work to music and flyball with Splash my border collie cross, she loves this food, we do learn to earn, and she's always happy to do a 5 minite training session to earn her BURNS, and never ever leaves a scrap, my vet says she is a brilliant weight and in great condition. She's almost three and nutured, weighs 20 Kilo's and has her BURNS, training treats at clubs and sometimes some Rice/ Pasta or greens n carrots.
Excellent food. My yellow lab had some skin issues switched over to this and is now fully f=recovered.
