It’s empty in here!
i bought the 150cm x 150cm run last year (see my review) and was totally satisfied with my purchase. It's extremely sturdy and is used in the garden, the garage and it spent all winter housing the guinea pigs in the house. I am so pleased with the quality that I have now ordered the 100cm x 100cm run. My plan is to make the smaller one more weather proof ( either with a correx insert or by adding sides to the run) and connecting it to the larger run by the doors. I have shopped around and looked at other runs but the quality just isn't there. I am also impressed by the customer service extended to me from Zooplus.
I bought this run and received it very promptly, i have one house rabbit who currently just uses it for daytime playtime, however will be getting a playmate for her in the next couple of months and hopefully be moving them outdoors together so I wanted something that was going to be fairly sturdy and secure to keep them both safe from curious neighborhood cats, and this seems pretty serviceable, however I will be adding some reinforcements when they are living in it 24/7 and there will be a lot of time when they won't be supervised (if you live in a fox habited area this would definitely need doing regardless as I do think foxes could potentially get in, although they'd spend a while working it out first). It was simple and easy to assemble although took me a while in the freezing cold on my own (definitely possible to do by yourself, but would have been easier with a second pair of hands) I did refer to the product photos on here when attaching the roof as the diagram was a bit vague at that point, however common sense is all you really need! It's also light enough for me to pick up and move around the garden by myself which is great and ensures nice fresh grass for bunny and no square shaped patches of dead grass for me! My only complaint is that I would have liked to buy the XL size, but the spacing on the bars is much wider, I have a dwarf rabbit and she could easily injure her paws or even jaw caught in a larger mesh, we also have neighborhood cats who come in the garden so I wouldn't feel comfortable knowing they could poke their paws in at her! I'm not sure why Outback have chosen to use wider mesh on the larger version, but not on this size. However it's a great product, I am happy with what I've got for my money and so is bunny! I am actually intending to buy a second one and work out joining two together, as although 5ft is good, 10ft would be even better! Especially for two rabbits. Once you've got the bunny in there, food/water bowls and a couple of toys/tunnel theres not that much space left to actually RUN! I think if it's not used as an add-on to an outdoor hutch, and just playtime, it would be a great idea to use the small door on the side for attaching a small den/shelter, there is roofing cover on part of it but quite exposed to the wind as all sides are just mesh. It would also be great if it was 6 inches or so taller as my rabbit enjoys sitting on boxes and surveying her land, and it's not quite high enough for her to be able to do that. I think I can add some height myself though! Good product, happy bunny and bunny mummy! Thank you zooplus!
I ordered the large outback run and 4 days later it arrived with all parts present. I was kept informed on the progress of the order every step of the way by zoo plus. It was easy to assemble and looks study and safe. The guinea pigs enjoyed a run round in it in the sunshine today. I am going to link it up to a hutch by the side door. I am glad I chose this run and I am very happy with the service from zooplus
