We have three dogs. A miniature dachshund, a medium labradoodle and and big labradoodle. They all have health problems. The daxie has skin allergies, our little doodle has bilateral hip dysplasia and our big boy has Addisons Disease and Epilepsy.
I have always fed them all Orijensand they have all thrived. I wanted a good quality, high grade food that they could all eat. It has always been such a good food and I really couldn't fault it. Yes it's expensive but you feed so little of it ,it wasn't expensive. So I really think it's a great food.
Our big boy Max has Epilepsy. There is lots of discussion and evidence about the impact of Rosemary being a bad thing in Epilepsy.
And there is Rosemary in Orijens. Not much. But it's there.
And there isn't in the Taste of the Wild foods. So I thought I'd try it.
And all my dogs love it. And are thriving on it so i havent got a bad word to say about it!
And I'm buying it again.
My black lab loves this food and he is not a big eater . Within days of changing to this his coat started to shine . He looks lovely and healthy and glowing and people always ask how is coat is so shiny . I tell them it's this food , the difference is huge . Great company too
our Bulldogs have lots of allergies and tear stains . we have tried lots of different foods with money not been an issue we come upon this food we cannot state how good this food is and value for money
Feed my 3 dachies on this, one had a lot of issues for about 3 years, would not eat much, poor stools. Tried various foods, had this reccomended and we have not looked back, easy, economical and 3 healthy dogs. They love it.
My dog loves this. We've tried many different dry biscuit brands and this is easily the one he loves best. He's a picky eater but we mix this with Bozita or Hermanns wet food and it gets eaten everytime. The fact that the biscuits are small doesnt bother him although he's a big dog. Being wheat free it is also great for sensitive digestion - no more upset stomachs!
I've done my research and taste of the wild is one of the best, unlike pedigree it has no fillers and it's not secretive about it's ingredients like royal canin. My dog loves it. i wish the price would come down a bit though and that they'd throw in a free gift like they do with other dog food. There are more flavours available so don't understand why they don't stock them
My 5-year-old GSD has always had skin allergies and from an early age it was recommended I feed her on JW cereal free. However after reading reviews on dog food analysis, I changed her to TOTW just over a year ago. Her allergies still continue but mainly from external sources ... she loves this food and eats it all, unlike her previous diet. Her long coat is gleaming and she seems to thrive on it. Her stools are better and she doesn't suffer with flatulence. I always buy a bag of the chicken and a bag of the fish variety and mix them. She is worth the expense but more than anything I am so pleased to have found a food she loves and that suits her.
Cheapest grain free food although the price has gone up considerably. I buy in bulk and a 2 pack went up from €85 to €115 in the few months between orders. Not such good value anymore but still a great food.
6* quality food as reviewed by dogfoodanalysis.com. As good as Origin but not as expensive and i find my two pointers aren't 'windy' on it! It is cereal free so easily digestible and their coats are so shiny, even the wirehaired gleams!
I can't recommend this food enough
My 18 month GSD was a very fussy eater. We tried everything form Royal Canin through Orijen.Taste of the wild Wetlands Canine is the first food I don't have to use tricks to get her to eat it! She absolutley loves it and she looks fab. Her coat is nice and shiny. Highly recomended!
looked for ages for a protein high dry food with none of the rubish like crude ash? etc, etc. ths is 100% additive free without those bad fillers, my english pointer loves it. no problems switching over, its a shame i have to get it sent from the uk to ireland cos zooplus.ie don't stock it!
i give it to my dog cos he's worth it!
this is a good food with no junk in it that the leading brands use i feed my huskies on this and since starting them on it they have more energy they pull a lot stronger they quarrell less they love it too i used to feed them pro plan and they would bicker and fight a lot also be stupidly overactive like kids on sweets (too many additives) there so much calmer and better behaved now and there stools are easier to clean up thankyou totw for making a good honest food and thankyou zooplus for supplying it (its like goldust in the uk).
Great food, no issues when switching from another brand. She likes it, it satisfies her, she's healthy with loads of energy and her coat and eyes shine. She's poos less than the she did on the previous grain free food (Orijen - although it is still a great food) and ALOT less than the rubbish she was on when I purchased her. Just bought a bag of Pacific Stream and will buy High Prarie next time to offer her variery.
