It’s empty in here!
I have three large neutered toms who are house cats and the (supermarket) litter they had been using was unavailable one week so I thought i would try this one....... They adapted straight away and one decided the litter is also for taking dust baths , and enjoys rolling around it - luckily after I have scooped the lumps ! Unfortunately i ran out and brought a bag of supermarket stuff - I knew they were annoyed by the poo on my door mat ! back to this and no further protests !
I have been using TigCanada for years because my cats took to it and it's mostly good so I was afraid of wasting money on something new that my cats wouldn't use. I'm so fed up of the tracking though. Litter gets everywhere around my house! The different scents are nice and as long as my cats bury their business their smell is contained and it's very easy to clean out the clumps. Sometimes they break up or it can get stuck to the tray but it works fairly well. It is very dusty to pour in though.
I totally agree with Elizabeth's analysis of the performance of this litter but not her conclusions. My priority for my two Bengals is for them to enter and use a clean and fresh smelling loo. This litter more than meets that priority. It clumps so well that when I pick the clump up in a scoop and shake the scoop the clumps have never broken up on me. The litter that goes back in the box is still 100% clean and fresh smelling. I use a medium slotted scoop initially and when all of the clumps are
Was dubious that this would really remove those unpleasant odours without trying to mask them with an overdone scent and just making you want to gag. But this WORKS! It also clumps well and makes cleaning out the litter tray so much easier.
I'm giving this litter 3* as I have very mixed feelings about it. Positives: - Clumps really well, and this makes it very easy to clean the litter box. - Nice scent, which after 2 weeks hasn't changed or become intermingled with cat pee smell, probably because it clumps so well. - Good price as it seems to be lasting a good amount of time with 3 cats (all outdoor cats, but 2 who prefer to go indoors 99% of the time due to growing up in a desert!) Negatives: - To get it to clump so well, you need it 10-15cm deep, as suggested. My cats seem to manage to flick this everywhere as they like to have a dig before doing their business, and again afterwards. We have wooden floors so it's easy to see how far this is going. - tracking. Not only does it get flicked everywhere, but the cats get lots stuck to their feet. Jack(cat) managed to walk it from the litter box upstairs, all the way down onto the sofa, where he then grooms himself. - ingestion. Needless to say, with the amount of litter sticking to the cats feet, im worried about the amount they are potentially ingesting. Overall, pleased with price, clumping and smell but unhappy with tracking, mess and potentially being ingested by the cats. Was previously using World's Best Cat litter, which I think is expensive in comparison, and although it clumped well, the biodegradable litter did start to take on smell, even when cleaned regularly. However, tracking not such an issue, and being biodegradable is less likely to be harmful is eaten when grooming. Very tempted to switch back.
I've got 5 cats and have had cats for over 20 years. This litter is superior to all the others I've tried over the years in terms of absorbency and odour control. you can buy a 6kg sample pack to try. I'd highly recommend it to you. It is also very competitively priced...in my opinion. :-)
This is the best clumping cat litter I have found, and it really is dust-free. The cats like the texture and I like not having so much housekeeping to do.
I have two coons and 4 other cats. The one Coon is the smelliest of all cats. I couldnt cope without a mask and used the wood pellets. this was recommended to me and it's the best. I done the Maine coon test and OMG amazing results. Highly recommended.
I bought this recommended by Forestside cattery. Mirela said it was the best and I know by the lack of smell in her house it works. I have two maine coons and 5 moggies I know the coons stink the house out and was using wood pellets. I was unable to cope with the stink despite lifting it as soon as they done it. pee or poo. So recommended this to me by My friend, And omg Its the best litter no smells ever no poo or pee smells.. best litter EVER.
Having used Oko (I love but tracks quite a bit) and Tigerino crystals (doesn't clump at all & I didn't like the idea of raking urine-soaked crystals into the fresh litter until it all turns yellow) the clay was my third time lucky. Fantastic clumping, hardly any tracking when you use a mat and no discernible smell. Be generous in filling your tray as if it soaks to the bottom it's harder to remove. Other than that it's straight out and no undue waste. You can't flush it like Oko but the Litter Champ bin works well. My two boys both love this litter and I highly recommend it.
I have 8 farm cats that have litter trays around in different barn and out buildings for them to use as well as boxs in house they have all remained very clean and smell free for longer can now do house boxs once a day not twice as was doing the outdoor ones can be done less are fine if i don''t get them done one day as they are still clean and smell free the next day so great litter much better than other litter i was using so now mixing old litter with this till its gone and its still great
Brilliant. I love this I have 5 cats and I used different types of car litter before and wasn't keen? But this is brilliant 😆 Clumps as it days and easy to remove And smells lovely. Highly recommend. ☺
We swapped to this after trying almost all the "dust free" litters and this is AMAZING! Our male cat has Feline Asthma and this genuinely is dust free. Highly, highly recommended. Please have it in stock SOON!!!
Cats review: Fine, soft sand-like litter. Very gentle on our paws. Good for the occasional dust bath should the mood take you. Caretaker review: Used to use a supermarket brand clumping clay litter. This is far superior. A lot less dust and saving approx £30 per month by using Tigerino as it clumps more efficiently (using approx 4 inch depth of litter in tray). Clumps dry quickly and are easy to remove from the litter tray. Wonderful at absorbing smells. Doesn't hurt when you stand on it!
This is without a doubt the best cat litter I've ever used and i've used a few, regardless of the scent this stuff is great , the clumping is excellent it don't fall apart when you pick it up with a scoop and you don't get that strong urine smell that takes your breath away like you do with some litters, I recommend 2 poop scoops one with big holes and one with tiny holes to get the small tiny lumps and keep it deeply filled. A+++
I would 100% reccomend this cat litter. I was previously using catsan hygiene litter and found it was a good, but once litter was soiled when scooping out any mess there was a lot of litter waste. Due to this minor problem I went online to see what cat litters had good ratings. I first heard about tigerino cat litter on YouTube after there was a gentlemen who made a video of a selection of litters and out of all this was one of the main ones he reccomeneded. I later decided to purchase tigerino and give it a try and I have to honestly say comparing it catsan I think it's way better! My main good points are that anytime my kitten soils her tray: •her mess clumps into hard lumps making it easy to scoop out. •less litter waste due to pheases clumping •smell really is minimal with this litter I found •very soft litter •saved me some money overall due to the product factors Only slight thing which is not really an issue to me is that I wouldn't really say the litter has a baby powder scent it has a scent but more of a suttle herby smell. Overall I would strongly reccomend this litter to anyone who has cats or kittens.
I was looking for a good clumping dust free cat litter and found this. It is purrrfect! We initially only put it in 2 of the 6 trays to introduce it to our cats all 6 cats used the 2 trays with the tigerino. The kittens made a huge mess playing with it at first and if you have cats that like a good dig around and shallow trays they can throw it a fair distance. It clumps amazingly well and is practically odour free I'm assuming this is because of its absorbency. Will not use anything else now.
It is pretty good. Having 2 house cats including a large Maine Coon boy I've always tried to use the best odour absorbing litters. It clumps very well making cleaning easy and cost efficient. I have found that using a deep layer (a good 4 inches) in a large tray prevents it welding to the bottom of the tray as other reviewers have reported. The only downside for me is that it is so fine and lightweight that a lot ends up outside the tray.
I have a Bengal boy who is a digger and he took to this litter straight away as I had previously had been using non-clumping clay litter. I purchased a Modkat top entry box with this litter and it works fine apart from the scoop provided with the Modkat is no good as the holes are big and this litter is like sand. I would suggest buying a scoop with tiny holes or using some kind of sieve as the litter falls throughs with poop stuck to it on normal scoops. Clumps well and no smells!
I bought this on the basis of the good reviews, but wasn't impressed. I have been using Sanicat pro clumping gold for my 4 cats, but thought this might be better. It isn't. It comes in a massive plastic sack which was so heavy I had to drag it to the trays, I couldn't lift it. It wasn't particularly good at odour control. And when I came to wash out the tray, I found that wee'd upon remnants had stuck like cement. For a clumping microgranule litter I will return to Sanicat.
At first I loved the fact that I could lift out the firm clumps leaving the rest of the litter intact. Also, it doesn't smell which is good. But being clay-based when it gets wet it becomes almost like concrete and very difficult to remove from the scoop and the tray itself. I have used tons of hot water to get both clean so I won't be buying it again.
I received this cat litter by mistake, needing litter I just stuck with the Tigerino litter with some hesitation & to my surprise this litter has turned out to be the best litter for my boy 'cat' so far. It's cheaper than the one I usually get, it clumps brilliantly, doesn't leave a track like other clumping litters, being unscented I thought it would start to smell stale but no it still does the job just as well as scented litter. Overall my boy loves it! So glad I gave it a go.
Was using Sainsbury's ultra fine clumping but it's no longer available. Spent ages searching for advice on replacement & decided to try the Tigerino. It is perfect! Very fine, even finer than it appears in the photograph, & clumps brilliantly. The Sainsbury's brand was quite sticky & it was difficult to clean the scoop but Tigerino clumps solidly & scoops so well. My cat pees heavily so I pile the litter a bit higher at that corner of the tray so it doesn't reach the bottom.
I have to agree with all the five-star reviews. I've recently moved to clumping cat litter and have tried umpteen. This is by far the best, with very little waste. I'm really pleased!
Seriously the best litter I have tried, by far!! smells nice, clumps great, easy to clean out! and this is genuinely the only litter my cat has dug and covered his mess with.! making it by far a greater pleasure to have him around. Happy house hold, thank you.!
Great product! Smells lovely, super absorbent & my cats seem to like it as much as I do.
I have tried this cat litter once and so some others, but I'm definitely coming back to this one! For me it's perfect, so soft and gentle with baby powder scent. My cats also like it :) 5*
This cat litter is simple perfect! Clumps really well and has no smell at all. I love it!
Clumps very well - better than any other I have tried and we have tried a fair few. Which means I get through it slower. Stops the odor 100%. Can't fault this product.
In cat litter category this one hits the roof, it is absolutely the very best you can get from Zooplus! Don't trust my word? TRY IT, YOU WON'T BE SORRY!
I use it always. For me it is ok, and also for my 2 cats. I have litter in the house. But I used it also when I had litter outside. Little dust. Little stones on the floor. But it depends by cats. My cats don't like big stones in the litter, they prefer similar sand.
Over the many years that we have had Persian cats, we have tried various makes of litter but have always come back to this one. This litter is absolutely fantastic. It is the best in efficiency value and price. Our 10 long hair cats have had problems with litter clinging to their coats but not with this one. There are also no lingering odours. Excellent product
Bought this via Zooplus as it was very good value and I was very impressed with the product. It's lasted months and I don't have to keep changing the litter, just remove the clumps.
Whether you are a 1 cat family or a multi-cat family there is no litter to compare with Tigerino Canada Cat Litter. The Babypowder Scented litter makes cleaning litters a pleasure and not a chore. Supplied in large quantities at a great price, your cat will never be "caught short". 100% clumping ensures that the litter box is easy to clean and the litter itself is easy to dispose of. Since discovering this product several years ago, we get comment after comment from catty friends that you would never know there was a cat in the house - and we have 4! Brilliant product and excellent service from Zooplus and that's why we vote it the Top Product.
I have been buying Golden grey which I had found to be the best for my multi cat male household but this was on special offer so I ordered a pack. While it is as effective as golden grey, I do find that this doesn't track as much as there isn't anywhere near as much dust. My cats seems to like it just as much too.
i have bred cats and owned rescues for my whole life and at last found perfection in a litter. I have used unscented and original (baby powder scent, oddly) and they are just great. If you make a good depth of litter in the tray the urine doesn't even reach the bottom, so the clumps come out as cleanly as the solids. No waste, no smelly residue stuck in the tray. No dust either. This litter lasts for ages as there is no waste, and buying the packs in pairs is a real saving too. (Hint: if you buy TWO pairs, it is free p&p and lasts months and months). PS. The cats love it as much as me!
I've tried about 10 different litters, some of which were paper & wood based. My favourite one is Tigerino unscented as it is good value, clumps excellently (into little wet cakes!) and is relatively dust free. Depending on how your cats are litter trained the hard matter is usually covered immediately in the litter particles which helps to reduce any smells. I usually purchase 6 bags at a time for our 3 Bengals and the only downside apart from the weight is the fact that I am buying something which is shipped across the EU. Not exactly environment friendly!
I have 2 cats with pretty much permanent diahrrea due to corona virus. I fully change my litter every 2-3days anyway to try and prevent re-infection, it's a good clumping litter with light baby powder scent and it turns into clay when clumping. But I've had problem with tracking (a lot of it), white litter everywhere so can't use it as it was driving me crazy. It got caught in my long haired cats paws as well as the short haired. I'm still giving 4 as it is a good litter and virtually dust free. It's simply not for my kitties.
This is a good ultra fine litter which clumps very well but like a previous reviewer on the offer page one of my cats has suffered fur loss on her legs & tum where she comes into contact with the litter. Consequently I'm not reordering!
I'd been having issues with my adopted cats not using the cat box I had, after changing box (like the deeper one), the location (more private?), and the litter they're now using it without fail. Yay! This litter is noticeably less smelly, with twice daily cleaning (amazing how much 2 large cats can produce!) and topping up I still can't smell anything and it's been a few weeks. Yes the tracking is worse, so I'll see whether a mat will help, but for the reassurance of no messes a little sweeping is nothing. Price reasonable as well.
