Product description

The seeds in the GimCat Hydro-Grass cat grass are highly germinative barley. The growing tray contains hydro-granules that hold water (no need for constant watering).

While grooming their coats, cats swallow hair that their stomach cannot digest. In order to get rid of this hair, cats like to eat grasses that help them to create hairballs from the tufts of hair. Normal grasses tend to be too hard, however, which can cause pain. The specially developed GimCat cat grass avoids this problem.

The GimCat Hydro-Grass in the practical growing tray is especially simple to use. Due to the water-holding hydro-granules, it is enough to water it once and within a few days, you'll have fresh, non-toxic, and safe grass for your darling. You could even start a little garden on your balcony with a corner just for your cat!

Ingredients

Feeding guidelines:
1. It's easy as pie: fill the tray to the brim with lukewarm water. The water should be evenly spread over the contents so that grass floats to the brim too. Don't wring out the water as it should be absorbed by the grass within just a few minutes.

2. Place the tray somewhere light and warm (e.g. on a window sill). Avoid extreme temperatures (in direct sunlight, on a radiator, etc.).

3. After 5-8 days, the Hydro-Grass should have reached a height of approx. 5cm. To keep it fresh and to get to its proper height, you should sprinkle another cup of water (approx. 150ml) over the grass. That's how you treat your cat!

Tip:
Cats need fresh greens to supplement their diets, which they'll often get from your house plants.

Grows really fast last for months
After watering it i got grass possible to eat for cat after just a week. I have it for 4 months now, a lot of it is dry, need to cut it, but still plenty of green straws for cat to chew on. Will buy again if needed. Also i keep forgetting to water it, so the base that keeps moisture in and being able to water once a week is great.

Yum!
Bought a 3 pack for our kitten, 12 weeks old tomorrow. Have never kept an indoor cat before, but read how essential to their health grass is and wanted to prevent nibbling of my houseplants, so ordered some of these. Easy to follow instructions, in less than a week, we have grass! Kitten likes it and worryingly, so does my son! Contents of the package do overspill somewhat after watering initially as the granules swell, so I will do as a previous poster said and transfer to a larger container.

KITTEN LOVES IT! THANK - YOU! :-)
I purchased the multipack of this product after seeing many great reviews and I'm happy I did! The item comes with three of the cat grass kits all together at a very affordable price too! You follow the instructions and add water and leave. In under 10 days it began to grow... It's been approx 2 weeks and it looks fantastic and my kitten loves nibbling on it! I put it into a larger tub as it was over-filling. Brilliant customer service! Will buy again. Thank you!

Too much of the soil for the "pot" otherwise great.
Next time I will divide the amount of the soil mix. When I put in the suggested amount of water in; overflowed, mess falling off, roots started choking each other after a month. Must say that it actually grew for me and I'm not a green thumb. My 9month and 3yr black house cats loved it, but only under supervision in case they got interested in the soil bits that fell off. Would recommend but not using the entire soil at once.

Very good
My cats eat it with appetite! It grows after 7 -10 days. It lasts for a reasonable period. I would say that until it grows enough I am a little afraid of giving it to one of my cats cause he likes pulling it,so i don't want him to swallow these hydro-granules.

One of the best
This is probably one of the best brands of cat grass I've used. I think I've tried at least 3 others. It's easy to grow and lasts a long time. The packaging is better than others (less fiddly) and it's a much simpler procedure than others I've used. My ragdoll is happy with the results!

Pearl seems to love it!
My 7 year old cat went straight to it as soon as I offered it! Every time she is near, she has nibble. I hope it lasts for some time. It is extremely easy to grow and requires little water as it has some kind of jelly inside that keeps the water.

Great supplement
As soon as the Hy grass tray was put out after growing my Turkish Van cross went mad over it. As she is an inside only cat this product will supplement her diet nicely and at a brilliant price. Will be purchasing again

Cat grass
My cats love this - it germinates within a few days, grows really well, and lasts a couple of weeks without much attention thanks to the growing medium. Best cat grass I have bought so far!

Mr Grass Tub is now looking rather depleted...
My oldest Ragdoll has a fancy for anything green, including the fake Christmas tree and also has a plastic licking habit. His big blue eyes widened when I presented him with the tub of grass. He chomped immediately. And, fantastically, he's left the tree alone and licked less plastic since the introduction of the grass! My baby Ragdoll took a tad more encouragement. He wasn't quite sure what to do with it. But now he's chomping merrily too. Easy to grow, barely any maintenance, and they love it. I've just ordered another. Great product!

Excellent. Three very happy cats!
I have been buying cat grass for many years now but have only been using Gimpet Hy-Gras for the past year. My indoor cats have always loved eating grass and this one is a particular favourite with my present three cats. Mia loves it and it does help with her fur balls which she used to get often. Even Monty eats more grass than he used to when I bought different brand. It lasts about 6-8 weeks so I buy more fairly often. Well worth it!

Cats love it.
Within a few days the grass grows really quickly. My cats only eat a bit so I put some of the mixture into a smaller pot to grow which means I have a lot left over to grow if I want. Even though they don't eat it all they still love to play with it.

Kittens love it
Yes grew very quickly, it was damaged when it arrived but on reflection because I'd lost a quarter of the contents it didn't over spill.... Kittens took a few days to try it, then nibbled a bit a few times a day which I was pleased with. I'm just trying a new variety, but they dont seem as keen

Grows Well
Grew well and fast, but i ended up transfering the grass into a large container, as it was spilling out from the top of the plastic tray and drying on top. After transfer though it grew very fast. Unfortunetly kitty only likes to paw at it and roll around it, no interest in eating or nibbling. It was a fun toy :)

Grew well, but...
I was impressed by how well this grass grew, within a week I had an impressive crop. However, cat Jess wasn't impressed and the grass sat on her feeding mat along with her bowls untouched for a couple of weeks before the grass started to die and I had to throw it out. If your cat has already taken to indoor grass then I would recommend it.

Gimpet Super Grass
Bought this for my half siamese/half bengal kitten. Watered it, put it on bathroom window sill and left room. Half hour later returned to find it all over the bathroom because my kitten clearly too impatient for it to grow. Scraped everything back in to the tub, added more water and fair play, it still grew fabulously. kitten loved chomping it & my house plants finally got a rest. Only given it a 4 though because gave some to my friend for his cat and she totally ignored it. Oh fickle cats!!

My cat loves it ... and it works
Sid is a long haired indoor cat so really needs cat grass to help with his digestion and getting rid of furballs, and Hy-grass does the trick. I have tried both the Gimpet and Pitti brands of grass and there is no competition, Gimpet wins hands down. The trays are stronger (pitti trays arrived broken) and I guess the grass itself is either different, better quality or has a different odour due to the 'compost' being different, because he hasn't touched the Pitti grass and goes mental for Hy-Grass.
