Concept for Life Veterinary Diet Urinary is a premium complete dry food for adult cats with urinary disease. Many cats suffer with FLUTD (Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease), including bladder infections, cystitis and bladder stones. These issues often occur if your cat does not drink enough and the urine becomes too concentrated. When this happens, excess minerals can form small crystals. Larger mineral formations are called stones. The most common are struvite stones which are made up of a magnesium-ammonium-phosphate compound and occur when the urine pH is too alkaline.

This premium therapeutic food has been specifically developed for cats with bladder stones and urinary tract disease and is optimally adapted to suit their specific nutritional needs. The food has acidifying properties which help to dissolve existing struvite stones. These stones are made up mainly of magnesium and phosphorus, so Concept for Life Veterinary Diet Urinary has a customised magnesium and phosphorus content to help reduce urine pH while still providing the appropriate amount needed to cover your pet's daily nutritional needs. The omega 3 fatty acids in salmon oil support shiny fur and supple skin.

Cat loves it, it works and is great price

My cat suffers with urinary crystals and when he's on this, which he loves we have no problems and he loves it. It's a really good price compared to Royal Canin

SMELLY

I had bought a trial packet of this food and my cats loved it. This time I bought the 3kg packet as it was a success with both cats. For some reason, this packet of kibble has a horrible smell and neither cat is interested in eating it? I also bought the 3kg bag of Fish flavour which was even worse. I'm VERY disappointed. I've been adding a small amount of the Chicken flavour into other kibble which they eat but I cannot use the Fish flavour at all.

Possible Alternative to Royal Canin

Bought this to try for my cats (5 & 4) who need Urinary S/O food and vet confirmed it’s ok to give so slowly introducing it with the old food. They both seems to really like it and eat the new kibble before their old food kibble Will order again regularly once no kidney or bladder issues but seems to be great replacement food at such a great price

It works!

My cat suffers from bladder stones and frequent urinary tract infections; he is also very selective with his food even if he weights 10.70kg. I introduced him to this dry food by mixing it with the Hills dry food and he loved it almost immediately. His issues are milder and he also lost 2 kg by eating this dry and wet food. He is more active and healthy!
