Royal Canin Veterinary - Renal with Beef - cat wet food

My cat adores this food and it took him from having a lot of struvite crystals in his urine (the S/O variant) to just a couple of fragments in 3 weeks. The only reason he's transitioned to the dry variant is the cost. If it was up to him, he'd eat it all day!

My cat loves this food which she is on under my Vet's instructions. Has started to put weight back on after losing too much.

Our cat was diagnosed with borderline kidney problems which could be managed with diet at the moment. But which food? Tried a couple of products but this is the one she likes. You'd think she would be fed up with chicken but this seems to be appetizing to her, mainly in the evening. At the moment she appears to be doing well on it and is certainly not losing weight.

My (nearly 17 years) old lady cat, was recently diagnosed with early stages of chronic kidney failure. She is a lifelong fussy eater, and I quaked at the thought of how she would take to a special diet, but she liked this Royal Canin Renal wet food (and the biscuit version too) straight away, and eats all three flavours with equal gusto - I was amazed and very happy as well as relieved. My 9-year-old cat has stage 2 renal failure and this was recommended by the vet. My cat eats the chicken flavour with gusto (although is not so keen on the tuna and beef) and seems healthier since being on this diet. Although this is very expensive compared to quality non-renal diets, if it keeps my cat relatively well and happy for longer then it is worth it. Zooplus seem to be the most competitively priced and deliveries have been prompt so I am a repeat customer.

Since my cat has started eating this, he won't have anything else. I think there could be a greater variety of flavours, but other than that no complaints. I really like the size of the kibble. Highly recommended.

My 14 year old cat was diagnosed with early stage renal failure in February, and the Royal Canin wet food recommended . I really didn't think she would like it, so bought a few pouches to try from the vet. My cat loved it, in all the flavours, and is now putting back on some of the weight she had lost. She's also back to her normal play and activity levels. Highly recommended, although it's expensive. I don't think you'll find it at a better price than from Zooplus, and their service is excellent too

I owe my pet’s good wellbeing to this food. My cat absolutely couldn’t get used to wet food, but for the past 4 years, thanks to Renal, he’s been living normally.

Not much to say, my cat with kidney insufficiency eats this. Sometimes she just licks off the sauce and leaves a bit of the meat behind. But she finishes it all later.

My cat loves the Fenal cat food in gravy, but she doesn't like the kibble at all.

The only renal food my cat will accept. I’ve also tried Purina Renal, Animonda Renal, Royal Canin Renal with fish, Royal Canin Renal with beef, etc. – she refused them all. The vet pharmacies within a 1 km radius already knew me, as I was clearing out their shelves of Royal Canin Renal with chicken. As long as she eats it, from my point of view it’s good. I recommend ordering online, as the markup for buying it from vet pharmacies is quite high.

Now that our cat is older, she can only have kidney food. Unfortunately, the options are always a bit limited. She tolerates and has accepted this food (so far 🙈) well. But lately, the amount of gravy has increased a lot / the consistency has changed 🤔. To me, as a human 😏😜, it sometimes looks sticky or slimy. If only the food chunks end up in the bowl or the gravy is wiped off the food... acceptance is as usual. We'd really like to spare ourselves this 'extra work.'

Alongside Kattovit, my pet gets this too, and it gets eaten up as well. It could be a bit saucier though…

My cat has kidney failure. When it was diagnosed, the vet recommended I give her Royal Canin Veterinary Feline Renal food. After my first order, I was a bit worried whether she’d like it, but when the food arrived, Frania was delighted. She tucks in happily and really enjoys it :) Plus, we’re taking care of her kidneys at the same time. I recommend products from this range for your cat.

Lothar always looks forward to his meals. After an incident (probably involving a machine or a vehicle), he actually relies on painkillers. For some time now, we've stopped giving them to him. He's also neutered and has to be on a diet. Whether it's fish, chicken or beef, he never leaves anything behind and is well-balanced, cuddly and affectionate. Very good product, and he also really likes the 7+ dry food. Happy cat = Happy cat parents!!!

Compared to other brands of renal food I've bought here, this is good food. It's eaten well and is sufficient. Not too wet, just a bit of gravy.

Assuming you meant English (UK), here is the translation: There was a change in the recipe, and since then, the recommendation for cats with urate (bladder stones) is no longer on the label. But luckily, it still works very well. The urine remains reliably alkaline, there are no problems, and she still eats it very happily and without hesitation… just like all the years before.
