TIAKI Stripes Cat Bed

Our cats really love it, they sunbathe on it in the run and sometimes play by hiding underneath. But it's hard to clean. To wash the fabric, you have to take it apart, which means the fitting is no longer snug afterwards and the frame comes apart on its own. A screw-fastening or a fabric that can be tied would solve the problem.

Without a doubt, it’s been a good choice—two of my cats love this little bed and it’s very easy to assemble.

The wooden joint isn’t super sturdy, but by adding a bit of electrical tape for thickness and grip, we fixed it and now it doesn’t come apart all the time. My cat loves it and takes long naps on it during the day. It’s handy that it can be taken apart to easily wash the fabric part, and it’s also convenient for transport—we’ll be taking it on holiday so our kitty will have his bed there too ☺️

First of all, yes, it doesn’t fit perfectly into the wood, but my cats absolutely love it. I bought it knowing about this little issue, and just in case, I already had some wood glue ready :D After a few days, one block came off: I just put a few drops of glue on all of them and that’s it (so I can still take them apart if needed). At the moment, it holds cats up to 5-6kg just fine.

We had to put it together using a hammer and quite a bit of force. In the end, we also used screws to secure it because it was bending upwards. Now the cats are really happy with it.

I saw it on Instagram with Alba from “conmisbigotes” and I loved it for the balcony, where one of my cats loves to nap in the summer. Today’s nap is already happening in the hammock and she’s absolutely loving it.

Putting it together was a bit of a job. The poles were still too thick for the holes, but with a bit of hammering and effort, it worked out. Unfortunately, there was a stain on the fabric, but oh well, the cat is absolutely thrilled with it and is now happily lounging outside in the garden on his sunbed!

The slats don’t fit into the legs, money wasted.

Hard to assemble and once done, they stay crooked and wobbly. I’d like to return them.
