TIAKI Starfish Drinking Fountain Replacement Pump

Replacement pump bought after the original one gave up after just 10 months. This one only lasted 3 months. My previous fountain model had a pump that lasted for years, so obviously this fountain, with a pump that needs changing every 3 months, ends up being quite expensive—not to mention the environmental cost!

Very happy with my purchase; in the photos it looks smaller than it actually is.

This fountain is torture, it makes a lot of light and noise.

The trickling water catches the cat’s attention, so they drink from it more often. It’s better for them to drink filtered, fresh water too!

The fountain doesn't meet my expectations; the description is misleading because it makes you think the water container is stainless steel, but it turns out to be plastic. Honestly, you end up paying a lot for expensive plastic—zero stars from me.

We’ve been using this fountain for about a year now. So, apart from the fact that the pumps don’t last very long and need to be replaced every 2-3 months, and apart from the fact that you can only buy the round replacement filter and not the pump filter (so I guess you’re never supposed to change that one? – or maybe the fountain isn’t meant for long-term use?), aside from these points, the fountain is actually good and quiet.

I bought my first fountain last September and after just a month it started making a buzzing noise, like bees. Also, the LED stopped working after 6 months. I bought a new pump hoping it would be quieter and to replace the LED, but the noise came back after just a few days of use. I clean the fountain once a week and change the filters at least once a month, and the water I use is filtered.

In just a few months, it broke—the motor works but no water comes out.
