Catit Pixi Smart Drinking Fountain

I previously had the predecessor. I replaced it with this device. Both are very reliable. Easy to clean and long-lasting.

I’m really not satisfied with the drinking fountain. I’ve been using it for 3 months now. I removed the stainless steel plate (which, by the way, was a struggle every single time and the edges are sharp too) because a biofilm forms between the metal plate and the plastic. Changing the filter is a nightmare every time as well! There’s no way to remove the filter compartment by hand, it’s way too tight! I’ve already bent a fork trying to pry it open. I find it really disappointing.

I bought this drinking fountain in January 2025, and now, just over 14 months later, it’s unfortunately completely useless. Somehow water seems to have got into the plug, and now the contacts are corroded. Since everything is glued together in this version, you can’t replace anything – you just have to throw the whole thing away. Honestly, devices in this price range should be designed so you can repair them. Oh well :-(.
