Cat doesn't mind using it, which is the main thing!
The clumping works really well, haven't had a clump break yet. It's a bit pricier than cheaper alternatives, but works really well so overall I need to use less litter now. I've also noticed that my cat doesn't track as much litter out of the box with this.
Odour control also seems to work fine, seems even better than my previous cheap brand litter.
• Easy to clean
• Clumps really well
• Cats like it and good to dig in
• Gets everywhere and I mean everywhere!
• Sacks are very heavy
• If your cat has wet feet/longhair it clumps into their feet. Obviously not good for them and clay footprints around house
• Clumps so well it has been hard to see if one of my cats had diahrrea which was very important to know with his medical history
I never write reviews, however I bought a bag when it was on sale and I am so pleased with it that I wanted to reccomend it.
This litter is so quick and easy to maintain, makes for very little work.
It is completely odourless.
You may think it's a little pricey compared to some litters but you use very little just to top it up. I get atleast a month from one bag between two house cats.
Thoroughly impressed and I won't use anything else.
I have two grown up kitties that are very sensitive when it comes to cat litter. It is eithersmelly because of too much perfume, too dusty or inable to clump. This type of cat litter works wonder. The smell of the feces is well hidden. 14 kg last 11/2 month with my two cats.
I think this the next best to Catsan ultra clumping. With low dust, really effective clumping. Odour control is ok but I don't think it's quite as good as Catsan but I do frequently buy this one. My cats are happy with it too.
This is better than OKOPLUS or Worlds Best. It is the best litter.
We've tried many other litters and we just always come back to this one. It clumps amazingly well. It conceals scents, even the smelliest deposit soon disappears. We always remark how pleasant it actually smells!
It tracks the least out of any litter, we found all litters will track to some degree bu GG has been the best regarding this, just a little bit outside the box where they may have flicked it out when jumping through the door, but nothing around the house. We found that Okoplus litter was terrible for tracking as it was so light.
A bag of GG will last you a long time. We use a full bag in a box, and scoop it daily and top it up as needed. This can last a couple of weeks. Don't be put off by the price, this stuff lasts a long time.
Having just made the mistake of trying Biokats Micro I am back to Golden Grey with relief. If you think this is dusty then try that stuff! Golden Grey is great - clumps immediately into solid non breakable dry clumps and isn't dusty that I would notice. Yes there probably is some dust, there is with most litters, and I guess we all have different perceptions and there are bad batches/bottom of the barrel, but, in my opinion at least, this stuff is not dusty.
I have 7 cats, four of which are Maine Coons with big hairy feet and yes, if they are clumsy enough to stand in it it does make grey marks on the floor but they easily wipe up. I have 7 enormous litter trays filled with a very deep layer of litter which are cleaned at least 3 times a day but they do still manage to stand in it which can be annoying but having tried so many other litters the only other that comes close is World's Best. But given the choice the cats much prefer the Golden Grey so that's what they get.
This is the best litter I have used, ( I have tried multiple varieties, shop bought and online) it is almost odourless even with 2 cats. It clumps well, it is easy to clean out. There is no lingering smell at all.
I have unwittingly acquired 7 cats.....dont ask..its a long tail (ho ho) but this means iv had to get organised and part of that was getting the best litter available...my cats are HUGE and need huge trays and therefore A LOT of litter! this one I have to say so far is great...as long as its DEEP enough, if its not it sticks like you know what to a blanket!! it tracks a bit but sweeps up fine. It definitely cheaper in the long run than the supermarket litters and iv used them all! there isn't much smell and I suggest you get the scoop thats fine meshed for this type of litter or you get small blobs of poo/wee left behind which you really don't want cos it smells!....its a bit like hunting for dubious treasure...im looking for a perfumed version..so conclusion DEFINITELY the best one iv tried so far. happy Xmas XX
I have 4 maines coons and as good as the litter is it stuck to their feet, it gets everywhere, it has been trodden all over my patio and i now have clay marks on the slabs which wont come off!!
I have gone back to non clumping
This is fantastic cat litter. I've been using it for 3 years and it does exactly what it says. However, we've had a few bags that have had tears in them, resulting in cat litter pouring out everywhere when we remove the product from the box it's delivered in, which is a huge pain. Not sure whether this is a problem with the litter bags themselves or with Zooplus's dispatch methods.
Disappointed with this litter. First of all, the bag broke open during transport. There are clouds of dust when I am cleaning out the tray. By comparison, Tigerino has no dust at all, and the clumps hold together better.
Upgraded to this from supermarket home-brand litter.
The difference is huge.
The litter lasts much longer as the damp areas clump and can be simply removed.
In addition, it does not stick to the cat's paws so I don't have to spend hours hovering all the stray pieces up from around the house!
There are quite a few of these clay-based litters on the market (and available through Zooplus). I have tried them all, but now come back to Golden Grey Odour. They all perform well in terms of clumping and odour control, but despite claims, the others track a lot more than Golden Grey. It's hard to know why, since they all look much the same, but Golden Grey just doesn't get stuck in my cats paws the same as some of the other brands, which is why for me, it is the best!
I have been using Golden Grey Master and after that Golden Grey Odour for some years now and once in a while, I try out something different and new, just to check the market. And I allways return to Golden Grey. It is simply the most efficient cat litter there is. It absorbs all smell and moist completely (and I have VERY smelly and peeing cats ;o) ).
Ive been looking for a good reasonably priced clumping litter. I'm a American who moved to Scotland back in 1999 and was used to having a wide variety of choices of clumping litters that were reasonably priced and worked well. Don't have such a choice like that here in Scotland.
Decided to try ordering online and read the reviews of this litter and decided to try it out. Boy oh boy am I glad I did.. granules are nice and small, sand like my two cats seem to love it and its sooo easy to take the clumps out. I'm on the first of the two bags so not sure how long it will last but I think I shall be ordering it again.
This is the best litter I've ever used. It clumps perfectly making it easy to clear and there is no odour, even after my male cat has used it!!! It's also one of the cheapest litters I've ever used with 14kg lasting me about 5 weeks with 2 adult cats using it.
This is by far the best cat litter and most economical I have ever used. I have 2 indoor cats and one bag lasts approx. 6 weeks. Two bags (which are very heavy) are delivered super fast free of charge by 'Zooplus'. Two bags last for approx. 3 months at a total cost of just under £20. There is no wastage as you only have to remove the clumps. However, I would suggest that you sprinkle normal non-clumping litter on the surface to save the sand-like grains being walked through. There are no smells at all from litter tray as has been the case with other litters so we are all very happy with Golden Odour
