I've previously bought a new one at least once a year. Even the metal ones I've had have been poor quality. The Minister of the Company lets me know when she's been to the loo, and then she tells me when I've emptied it, so I empty it after every toilet visit. And this one is perfect for that. Whether you empty after every visit or less often, this is definitely the best scoop I've used.

The Minister of Cat Affairs lets me know when she's been to the toilet. So, as her litter-emptying slave, it's safest for me to clean it out right away. If I don't, she'll come over, stand next to me and meow until I've done my chores. Which, of course, I do gladly. And this one is perfect—it's the only one that's lasted over a year, even the metal ones break. I don't even have to be careful, no matter how deep she buries it.

I've used a number of different ones to unclog the toilet for the Company Minister (that's her name), but none of them, even the metal ones, have lasted long. So I tried this one some time ago and, to my surprise, it's held up and I don't even have to be careful with it anymore.

I got tired of my old one with small holes and upgraded to this. It was absolutely fantastic. It's so good that I have to buy another one so I have one by each litter box.

For me, it was worth the extra cost to make cleaning the litter box easier.
