Modern Living OTTAWA Cat Tunnel

What a hit! This has quickly become my kitten's favorite toy. He especially likes when we dangle a plastic strip through holes (if he is inside) or upwards from inside (if he is outside) a la Whack-A-Mole. High quality materials, looks good! Highly recommended.

We've been using it for a week now, and the press studs are holding up (if that changes, we'll just put a tiny drop of superglue in the press stud). The only downside: both our cats love to jump on it, and the felt gets flattened and stays that way. Still, we think it's great and the cats absolutely love it.

The tunnel is easy to vacuum. I'm a bit concerned about the durability of the snap fasteners over time, so I wouldn't recommend taking the parts apart too often. They've already come undone a few times during rough play between the cats. But overall, it's a decent tunnel, doesn't make any annoying rustling or crinkling noises, and as I said, it's really easy to vacuum the fur off.

The tunnel is a good size, the holes were great fun to play through and the blanket was soft. BUT, it didn’t stay up as a tunnel for very long and collapsed as soon as the smallest kitten climbed on it. Now I have to spend extra money to find stabilising rings for it to make it work as intended.

As mentioned in other reviews, the press studs come undone very easily. However, since my cat absolutely loved the tunnel right away, I sewed the two pieces together. Since then, it’s held up perfectly and hasn’t been squashed either. Of course, it shouldn’t be like that, but after 15 minutes of work you can still use it ;)

The item itself is fine, but the snaps aren’t. I had to sew it myself, because otherwise they kept popping off and the tunnel would just turn into a mat.

After a week of use, it was already squashed and had lost its tunnel shape. After a month, it had already lost some hooks, or they stopped working properly. They're flimsy. I also don't recommend it because it's hard to clean, but that's just the nature of the material.

In many reviews, it says that the snap buttons come undone. That’s true, especially the ones in the middle. Our two house cats figured that out and now use targeted jumps on the tunnel to create an extra entrance/exit. The material is sturdy felt, which stands up well to claws and teeth. The fact that the tunnel doesn’t make a rustling noise is something our timid little lady especially appreciates.
