Hill’s Prescription Diet c/d Urinary Stress + Metabolic - Chicken - cat dry food

I gave 5 * These are good for cat. My cat is on these for a long time as she was so heavy.

We did not have a goal to lose weight, there was a goal to change food and improve the urinary system. It seems we succeeded. In addition, my cat lost 500 g in 4 months.

This food was prescribed by my vet for my cat. It was difficult to transfer the cat from Royal Canin to Hills, but we succeeded and now he eats this food. So far so good, he loves it!

My cat is very fussy about her food, but going from the Reduced Calorie to the new Metabolic was not much of a problem. She absolutely loved it, but the major issue now is that she is a lot hungrier and eats the portion faster than with the previous one. Not sure if it's because it tastes better, or if she is able to eat it quickly because of the bigger kibbles, but sometimes she was eating it so fast that she would throw it all up. Giving her smaller portions each time did the trick, though.

My cat was doing well on original reduced val formula but his appetite increased on this and he gained weight. He seemed to be hungry all the time I switched back to the regular recipe. Hunger level same as on metabolic. Urinary issues have remained absent I Changed to a timed feeder in late December, to try to make sure I don't overfeed.

My cat was doing great on cd stress reduced calorie but since it was discontinued I changed to this formula. He started peeing in the house again within the first 2 weeks. I changed to cd stress regular formula hoping that he is not going to gain extra weight. Also the lack of glucosamine in cd +metabolic is also a huge downgrade .

I've been using it for years for my cats' needs; it's a complete product that I recommend for urinary issues and overweight.

The vet recommended it. No more problems with the urinary tract.

When our cat had to switch to this food, we were worried at first that he wouldn’t eat it. Luckily, it’s his favourite flavour (chicken) and he got used to it straight away. Thankfully, he’s also peeing better now.

For cats with dental problems, or missing molars/teeth, I don't recommend these—they're disproportionately large and the shape is unsuitable, pyramid-like... and honestly, not great for cats in general! I don't know if you'll publish this, since you reserve the right to choose what gets published or not, which is very subjective, but it's only fair that, given the very high price, people are informed before buying! My tomcat can't manage to eat them.

Excellent kibbles! My cat loves them. Since we've been using them, along with the wet food from the same brand, his urinary problems have improved significantly. We're really very satisfied and I recommend them without hesitation!

They say Hill's is good but cats don't like it. But my cat Kiseki has loved her "Hill's Prescription Diet cat kibbles / urinary problems" for a year now.

They eat it with great pleasure

Due to kidney and bladder problems, we had to switch to this food. Our cat has been eating it for 2 years now and hasn't had any issues with bladder infections since.

It's a shame that this only comes in one flavour of its kind.

Thanks to these kibbles, my Pepito went from 7.9kg to 5.9kg—yes, they're really great! I only give him these now.

The product itself is good, but the zip that closes the packaging is fragile and breaks after a while (confirmed over several orders). For an 8 kg bag and just one cat, it's annoying and means I have to repackage it (sometimes I use an 'old' bag that has held up to repackage the contents of the faulty one... not great).

Since changing his food, my cat has had fewer problems with cystitis! Plus, he absolutely loves it 😉

Both cats are eating it just fine. The kibble pieces are a bit bigger than the c/d Multicare, so it helps them eat more slowly. We’ll have to wait and see if it has any effect on their weight and urine balance (we’ve been using it for 2 months now). What I have noticed, though, is that since switching, both cats have become more stressed. They weren’t completely stress-free before, but now I realise that the Multicare actually had more of an effect than I thought or noticed. So that’s a bit disappointing and annoying. I also thought this food would help with that.

I've been giving my cat these kibbles for years on my vet's advice, and he loves them.
