Purizon Original Chicken with Fish - Grain-Free- cat dry food

I was using this cat food for a good many years now for my multi-cat household and they have definitely changed the recipe and the size is so much smaller. My cats finds it hard to eat it now, it just falls out of her mouth or she has to swallow it whole, before she would munch it with her teeth and really enjoy it. Sooooooo disappointing that they changed the recipe and size. Clearly not a cat centred decision and I see so many other people complaining too. Bring back the original recipe!!

I feed this to my cats as treats, they love it so much! Even the fussy ones.

Concerned this food is off. It feels wet, sticky and no dry food usually feels like this. Have contacted zooplus for refund or exchange. Opened a second bag, exactly the same. Previously got a different purizon dry food and cats loved it and no problem with that one

As the pure fish version of the Purizon dry food was sold out, I tried the chicken with fish option. My cats like it just as much, BUT unfortunately, the 2.5 kg bags are no longer resealable. This makes no sense to me. Who uses up a 2.5 kg bag in a few days? I saw other reviews about the 6 kg pack, which is also no longer resealable. It's a joke. I will have to explore alternatives, because the food goes stale despite my best efforts (clothes pegs and putting the bag inside a container).

Been using Purizon for few years and have 2 British shorthair and 2 Maine Coon. But since summer, I noticed change and my boys won't eat it anymore. This is since they introduced package with no zip. Kibbles are lighter, less fat and very dry.Also smell is horrible. I have now few bags old and new which I'm mixing just to use, but unfortunately won't be buying this anymore. I'm very disappointed as my cats were crazy about this food.

It’s the first time trying this brand. My cat doesn’t like it at all, just sniff sniff and walked away. He doesn’t eat it even mixing with other cat food. The beef and chicken flavor is slightly better. I guess have to switch back to Orijen.

Our kitty used to love this food but when we bought a new bag she went into hunger strike. We wrote to customer service who kindly replaced the bag. Initially she ate a little bit from the second bag, then hunger strike again. After the cat lost too much weight and we were really concerned, we bought another food and she loves it. I wonder if the heat wave damaged the product.

I noticed a few reviewers mentioning that the size of the kibble had decreased. Perhaps I got a old batch but I found that it was far too large for my persians, though the maine coon enjoys it. They also weren't particularly attracted to the flavour, eating it only if there was no alternative available. First time trying it, probably won't use it again for these reasons.

cats eating this food very well and actually you can see the difference- more muscles , stronger , energetic etc. Will definetely use Purizon as food my puppies. UNFORTUNATELY POOR INFORMATION ABOUT THIS PRODUCT. ZOOPLUS -PLEASE GIVE US SOME INFO!!! Thanck you! :)

It took a while but our Burmese happily munch away now..

Our Burmese appreciate their previous cat food now :( I suppose the over-powering smell of herring is too much for them. Wish I would have bought three-flavours instead.

I lived in the US and fed Orijen for years. When we moved to France with our cats I still fed Orijen to my many cats. I started looking for another food when Orijen became more expensive and was packaged in a smaller bag. I am as thrilled with Purizon as are all of my cats. They love it!

Although my cats really seem to like this I have only given it stars 4 stars as I think it really should be in a resealable bag to keep it fresh. I have a large plastic box and can only get half of the large bag in. I would buy two smaller bags, but obviously this works out more expensive.

My cats love it, one of them won't eat anything else, but I have had to reduce the amount she has because giving her the recommended amount has made her gain weight.

I have tried my 4 on all the top dry food brands (Orijen, Acana, Applaws etc) & they haven't been a hit all round. I was skeptical about Purizon as the ingredients are similar to some listed above but I was VERY wrong-all flavours are loved by all. The protein (and also potato) content is quite high but I will accept this for a quality brand they all love - I can finally move away from the dreaded Royal Canin!! Thanks Purizon - you have signed me up as a regular customer. Very happy indeed.

We call these stinky fish drops as they smell like old fish left on the harbour for a morning. My cats, who normally do not enjoy dried food, absolutely love these. Delicious. Maybe like the cat version of garum (a stinky rotten fish sauce the Romans enjoyed)

I have a Selkirk red who used to throw every single food up which I got him. He has no diagnosed problems just couldn't get along with the vast majority of foods. I tried hairball foods all the major brands, I then went to grain free and tried most of those. This is the only one he doesn't throw up. He loves it and it has good quality ingredients which aren't as expensive as some other high protein foods ( which he also three up). My other cats are all raw fed but love to pinch my Selkirk biscuits.

My 1 year old cat loves this food and it is good to know she is getting quality food with a high meat content . I weight the food out to make sure I dont over feed as so little is needed and as soon as she hears the packet rustle she appears! I definitely recommend this to other owners wanting a high quality brand .

Both of mine always used to really like it. Now only one of them does, and he gets diarrhoea from it. The pellets look different and the large pack is no longer resealable. Such a shame.

I don't know what Purizon has changed in their recipe. But recently, both my cats have started getting diarrhoea and are vomiting!... They're now getting a different dry food and everything is back to normal!

Thank you for listening to your customers and bringing back the zip closure on the larger packs, so the bag of kibble can be closed properly! Still the best food for cats.

Over time, I’ve tried many premium brands, but in the end, I stuck with Purizon and I can honestly say it was a truly inspired choice! Even though my cats used to love wet food, now they eat these kibbles with amazing appetite and pleasure! 🐾 A big plus, compared to other kibbles I’ve tried, is their texture: they crumble very easily and aren’t overly hard. I have a fussier cat when it comes to hard kibbles, which she often refused, but she absolutely loves these ones.

I've been loyal to these kibbles for a good 4-5 years. It took me a really long time to post this—I didn't believe it at first, but after reading other reviews, it's clear my cat isn't the only one with issues! Since they changed the recipe and the packaging (which no longer reseals): - Vomiting up the kibbles - Turns his nose up at eating them - Takes them in his mouth then spits them out without chewing Unfortunately, I'll have to switch to a different brand of kibble. I can only agree with the negative reviews. My tomcat won't eat it anymore either. It also smells really strong, apparently the recipe has been changed. Sorry, but we're out.

In my opinion, we should organise some kind of collective protest against what's happened with this cat food. I bought 6.5kg of it and now my cat has diarrhoea after eating it, no matter how I try to feed it. Even small amounts give him the runs. This food used to be great, so what's going on now? They really shouldn't be selling it at all.

My kitty used to love this food so much that I even used it as treats. After the last purchase, though, she won’t touch it anymore—after enjoying about 3 crunchy pillows, she just walked away and kept her distance. What happened to this food? I won’t be buying it again and unfortunately will have to throw away the rest.

I can relate to all the recent negative reviews. Overnight, my cats started turning their noses up at these kibbles, even though they've loved them for 6 years. Now they vomit regularly and their stools smell really bad. It's such a shame...

My cat loves these Purizon kibbles, but I'm disappointed that there's no longer a zip closure for proper storage of the product.

All our cats come running from everywhere as soon as they hear the bag being opened. They gobble it up, munch and eat as if they never get fed. 😂 They simply can't get enough of it, but we limit it to once or twice a day, only in the evening after we've played with them and just before bedtime.

The kibbles are darker, moist, and a bit smaller. 10 cats are gobbling them up like mad. In one container, there are some from a pack bought a few days ago, and next to them, the unfortunate ones after the awful changes. I have to top up the first ones several times a day, the second ones stay untouched. The most important thing is that their favourite Purizon is back. Now I’m just waiting for the fish and lamb to return. Supposedly the same packaging, but the ingredients list on the Zooplus website is still dreadful. The Purizon nightmare for cats and their owners is finally coming to an end 😄

People, cats! The return of the old, good and beloved Purizon dry food recipe! The zip bag is back again! Pay attention to which variant you’re ordering! My kitties like both versions, but they’ve been eagerly waiting for their favourite one to come back! The old version is the one with 70% animal ingredients (the new one has 65%). Thank you!!

After years of this food being our two boys' favourite, I can no longer recommend it. One of them now only eats it reluctantly, and the other vomits it up undigested. We really tried several times, but as soon as we mixed even a small amount of this food in, he threw up. So I recommend not buying this food anymore.

I've been giving them Purizon for at least 10 years, they love it and they're healthy! I'm delighted.

My Ragdoll really likes the kibble, but they're too small for her. It's just bite, swallow, gone.
