Intolerance

My 15-year-old cat didn’t tolerate these kibbles, even though I switched her over gradually. As soon as I went back to her old ones (Hills Prescription Diet), she stopped being ill (diarrhoea/vomiting).

New version of the product

I was also unpleasantly surprised by the change from the previous pillow-shaped kibble to the new form of pellets. I was worried that our cat, who is missing a few teeth, wouldn't be able to chew them. So we tried the 400g pack and I was pleasantly surprised—not only did she manage to chew them, but she actually likes them more than the previous pillow-shaped version. So I guess it depends on the cat. Some might not like them, while others will.

My 16-year-old cat really likes them, even though his teeth have been removed.

Terrible

My 12-year-old cats used to only eat this, now they just eat snacks. I don't know who came up with this change—clearly a genius who doesn't have cats!!

Healthy dry food

I was specifically looking for senior cat food because my cats are already very old and it's important that their diet is rich in nutrients, minerals, and vitamins. My cats eat it, the kibbles are nice and small, and it smells good. It's very well tolerated.

Why isn't the previous product made anymore...?

I'm joining those cat owners who are desperately asking for the previous version of the Ageing 12+ pillows to come back. These round ones are just pointless. I was so happy that our senior cat finally liked something, and now they're stopping production. Oh well. And as for the claim that 83% prefer these round ones... I'd like to see those cats myself... I can't confirm the IMASENS 2022 study...

My picky cat loves eating it

Pepe is a fussy eater, but she has liked this food for years. Her coat looks great and she's at a healthy weight.

Disappointed with this new recipe

My 16-year-old British Shorthair really liked the "Sterilised for 12+ years" version. Unfortunately, he doesn't like these ones at all, nor the "Sterilised for 11+ years" version. My other 11-year-old British Shorthair doesn't like them either. When will the old 12+ version be back????

Royal Canin Ageing 15+ Our Putzy is now

Our Putzy is now 15 years old, and when we gave him the new Royal Canin Ageing 15+, he wouldn’t touch his old food anymore. Now we mix it with his previous food, and suddenly he likes everything again.

very satisfied

Since my cat, who's over 17, started eating these kibbles, her fur sheds a lot less and her coat looks great. She's much livelier than before and hardly ever throws up anymore, which used to be a real problem for her. My old cat is really happy with this food, even though she's not exactly crazy about it—but she's never been a fan of dry food anyway, so that's not an issue. Only positives!

Good acceptance

My 15-year-old Russian Blue tomcat accepted the food straight away without any problems. Unfortunately, he doesn't like the 15+ wet food.

Good and tasty for my 17+ cat

My elderly cat started eating with more difficulty and could no longer tolerate the food she was used to. She seemed hungry, was vomiting more often, and meowed a lot. Since switching to Royal Canin 15+ kibble two months ago, she’s eating much better and digesting everything more easily. She looks healthier and her coat is shiny. I’m so relieved!

Disappointed

Since the product changed (Senior Ageing Stuffed), it's been really difficult to feed my tiny old cat (1.9kg). She only nibbles when she's really hungry and just meows in front of her bowl. I still had some of the old ones left, so I mix them in little by little... Why did you stop a product that was working so well?

They really like it

It's true that the previous ageing food with square, soft croquettes was addictive, but this one is loved just as much by both my 14-year-old cat and my 5-year-old. I have read that for the 5-year-old it might lack some vitamins and minerals, plus she's a very active cat, so I top it up with Felix tuna sachets or chicken or lamb delights, or even boiled chicken that I make myself. But honestly, it smells good and has a bit of fat, and they really like it.

Both love food

Both my cats are around 16 years old. One of them also has thyroid issues and a bit of trouble with her liver. Both are veeeery picky when it comes to food, but they absolutely love this dry food and didn’t even want to eat their “old” food anymore during the switch. They also love the wet food.

A terrible change – The previous filling was essential

All the cats used to eat the square treats much better, they don't want this one. The silly response from the company is that cats prefer round ones—so I guess that's why almost all the snacks they love are square, so they'll like them less. And what happened to the filling the square ones had?
