Wild Freedom Adult "Wild Hills" Duck - Grain-Free - cat dry food

My 4 cats love this! Very good quality dry food.

My cats always liked eating it and had no problems with it. But from one delivery to the next, that changed. They got severe diarrhoea after the recipe was made worse yet again. I won’t buy it anymore (none of the so-called 'improved' varieties). Unfortunately, Zooplus ignores complaints about this.

My cat loves this dry food! The first time I bought it to try something new, he loved it so much you’d think he was a vacuum cleaner – that’s how quickly it disappeared!

Our cats love this food; they've turned down a couple of other brands before, but they accepted this one without any problem. The kibble pieces are a bit bigger than in other foods, but they eat them just fine. Heads up! The ingredients listed on Zooplus are not correct: it does NOT contain 41% fresh poultry, but rather 30%. I was looking for a food with a higher meat content and was disappointed to find it has less than advertised. Even so, it is fresh meat (not meal), so it's still a better option than other foods.

The kibble pieces are quite big, so it’s great for dental care: my tomcat usually swallows small-sized food without chewing, but he crunches this one nicely. It’s been our main dry food for years.

After the food was changed, my cat gets an allergic reaction after 2-3 days of eating any flavour of it.

We’ve been using this dry food for years! The kibbles used to be nice and big, ideal for cats who tend to gobble their food, and they were a deep dark brown, almost black... they looked like they had a good amount of moisture or flavour, and they only crumbled if you actually stepped on one! Now they’re just crumbs, smaller, light brown, and you get endless bits in the bag. Compared to before, it seems bone dry and my cats are much more hesitant to eat it! Such a shame, what used to be 5 stars is now at best 3!

All of a sudden, my cats won’t eat it anymore since the size of the pellets was reduced. I think it’s not just the size, but the recipe has changed too. Now I have to look for another grain-free dry food.

My cats used to love it and now they won’t eat it, they come close, sniff it and run away—it has an unpleasant smell. The quality has gone down and it’s not even the same size, colour or smell anymore. It was the only thing my cat ate happily, now she won’t even try it. I hope they go back to the old recipe, I won’t be buying it again.

Cats are picky – and they don’t like changes. Both of ours loved this food. Unfortunately – as Wild Freedom often does – they’ve changed the recipe again. Less meat content – and especially the size of the kibbles. It was the larger kibbles that encouraged chewing. Now they’re just little pellets. The food doesn’t smell like the old version anymore, nor does it seem to taste the same. Our two still eat it – but the enthusiasm is gone.

Cats are not happy. Poop comes out in little pellets... I'm giving up on this brand.
