Fluffy Dog Bed

Our dogs really liked the basket, so we ordered it again. Unfortunately, the outer ring in the second order was just filled with soft material, whereas the first basket had a fairly firm memory foam. So sadly, it's not the same basket anymore.

I bought this cushion a few years ago for our Sam. Back then, it was completely viscoelastic. Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to him just over a year ago. I gave away or disposed of everything. Now, for our Kira, I thought it would be great to have a cushion like this again. But sadly, it’s not what it used to be. The edge is still viscoelastic, but the small inner pillow is now very fluffy, gives way too much, and as a result she sinks in and lies bent. Not great anymore.

The Flocke dog bed is great, but unfortunately there’s no replacement cover available in cream white.

I found the material thinner than the grey cover, and the brown cover didn’t survive either. The grey cover is now the only one left, still in good condition.

I bought this bed a couple of years ago and thought it was amazing—really firm, good size and great price. My dog loved it. Now I wanted to replace it and the quality is worse; after just two weeks, the centre is already half as thick and doesn’t bounce back like before. Even so, my dog still uses it. I’d understand the price increase and would pay it, but not if the quality goes down.

I have mixed feelings about this bed. It’s fine overall, but the fabric on both covers isn’t great. The original long-haired white one gets dirty quickly and it’s hard to remove the fur from it. As for the spare cover, it’s even worse. The shorter fibres of the fabric clump together like they’re knotting up and trap the dog’s hair inside. Another downside: you can’t wash the padding. So in the end, the bed ends up smelling bad.
