I installed it in the whelping box and just a few hours later there was fluff everywhere (choking hazard) and lots of little sharp threads.

This is really the favourite in our house. My cat loves lying on it when he's on the sofa. The mat does make a bit of a crinkling sound, but that doesn't bother him at all. I also bought the mat for our stray outdoor cat, for his little house outside. He clearly enjoys it too. Lovely and warm. Highly recommended!
