Used once, then broke

I've been using the light band now that it's getting darker. Battery's dead. Plugged it into the charger. Left it charging all night, still dead. Checked if the cable and the socket were making proper contact. Tried again for 6 hours on the mains. Nothing, it just won't charge. Even with the discount, it's too much money for something you can only use once.
