Heim Biothane® Long Dog Lead - Fluorescent Yellow

I’m really impressed with this 10m lead. Living in a wet country like Ireland, it’s a game changer — it doesn’t soak up water, so it never gets too heavy for my Shiba. The material is easy to clean, resists tangling. The bright neon yellow color offers fantastic visibility for me and people she is addement to trip, even in a low light. Perfect for giving her more freedom!

I only have this a week, & itsgreet , I hope it lasts & doesn’t peel or anything. It’s so light & doesn’t tangle, doesn’t need drying , just a wipe down. Major improvement on the textile varieties.

I love that even when’s it’s really mucky all it needs is a quick rinse

After using this lead 4 times, it is cracked in a few different places. It is the second one I have bought and both leads ended up cracking even though they were relatively new

I've had my biothane long line for four years now, using it first with a dog-reactive lurcher and now with a friendly but selectively deaf Bichon. It's brilliant, doesn't get heavier when it's wet, easy to see in the grass, the clip is secure and it's easy just to rinse off when you get home. I have the 10m one and it's great for giving the dog some freedom to trot, run, sniff etc but still feeling you have them safe.

Have used this for over a year now and very pleased with this lead. Lightweight but strong. Very easy to clean. Doesn't easily get tangled. My dog's recall isn't very good( if she sees a deer) so I use this line attached to a harness. It gives her some freedom but I am still in control. The only modification I made was to cut the loop open. Just in case she did get loose,I didn't want the loop to get caught on a branch.

We love these long leads as we live in Ireland which is wet and rainy a lot of the year. So when these go through mud and puddles and other yuck- they are easily cleaned by soaking them in water and giving them a wipe down- dry and clean ready for storage. We use these for recall and outdoor training under increasingly distracting conditions. The bright colour is great and the handle comfortable.

I've been using this lead for 2 months now. It's been handy for swimming, walks in the woods, and our daily strolls around the village. It's lightweight, doesn't get dirty easily, and the fluorescent colour makes it easy to spot even when it's not very bright. I'm delighted with my purchase. The clip is holding up so far.

The lead is light and easy to clean. It looks like a toy, so we're learning not to chew on it, but otherwise it does the job! Safety and peace of mind for my little one, and especially for me. After 3 weeks of use and a swim in the lake, I'm still just as happy!

After just a few uses, the carabiner is already sticking and is hard to open and close. Since I can't risk not being able to leash or unleash my dog at a crucial moment, or the carabiner even opening by itself, the lead is useless to me as it is. I'll sew on a new, better carabiner. The carabiner hasn't been soaked or dragged through dirt so far; it was either attached directly to the harness or safely stored in the rucksack...

My dog chewed through the lead in 5 minutes…

Essential long lead for my little hunting dog that I can’t let off the leash. Waterproof and sturdy, she squeezes through bushes and branches and it still hasn’t got damaged. Recommended if you want to give your dog a bit of freedom, I’d just suggest improving the product by adding a safety-lock carabiner instead of the standard one.

I had already left a positive review for this lead, but I find that the quality of the clip has changed. Sometimes after just a month of use, the clip comes apart, so I end up just holding the lead in my hands, without the dog... Before, I could keep them for a long time, but now I have to put a different clip on it, which isn’t great—having to change the hardware for safety right from the start. It would be better to pay a bit more and have quality equipment.

By now, I have several Biothane long lines from different brands, including a very expensive one. But this one from Heim is definitely my favourite, both in terms of how it feels and how well it holds up—it’s lasted a really long time. I’ve been using it almost daily for 5 years now with my very reactive 15 kg furry friend, who used to really pull hard on the lead at first. At first, I was a bit worried about the carabiner and whether it would hold up to my dog, but everything’s been perfect! I’m honestly really impressed, especially for the price.

The lead was nice, easy to clean, and comfortable, but after just 1.5 months the carabiner broke. I was hoping the lead would last a bit longer; while I was using it, I was really happy with it. It's a shame I have to replace it with a new one so soon.

My puppy snapped this lead clean in two after just three walks. Very disappointed with the quality.

If your carabiner breaks while you're out walking, you really have to question the quality. What a letdown! Definitely not something I'd buy again. Luckily, I always carry a short lead as well.
