I bought the lead for Nordic walking. Use it with the belt of another expanding lead. For me, the length of the lead is optimum. My dog can walk beside or in front of me, without him constantly running me into the bushes. The front piece is like a normal line with hand loop. When walking on the road I can hang the wrist strap on the carabiner so there is no danger my dog can run into the street.
I sling the lead around myself diagonally, like a cross-shoulder bag, and then hang the handle to prevent it falling and my dog escaping (especially with the Flex, the handle always hops behind the dogs). Since we have several anxious rescue dogs, it's a great extra backup.
This lead is really good. I use it together with a belt and it looks stable. My dog generally jogs alongside me so it is a little long for us, but it can be done.
I have walked both of my poodles using a coupling line on a lead. This means you have your hands free to talk pictures or use sticks to walk. Very pleasant and makes the shock absorber noticeable. As my dogs are prone to pulling on the lead, I will get a seat belt pad to reduce the pressure on the back. Very good, stable leash. Would buy it again.
I think this lead is ideal for cycling and jogging. A second carabiner with spirals would be good, as well as a loop directly onto the carabiner.
I use the lead with my German Shepherd cross (30kg) and Giant Schnauzer (40kg) and am very satisfied. The dog can pull properly without constantly being jerked.
I bought this lead for hiking and it gives me complete satisfaction. I also use it for jogging with my Border Collie and I appreciate how light it is - we almost forget there is a lead. I have given up on all other leads and only use this one now.
