It took literally 10 seconds for my shepherd to pull strong enough that the handle came off

Reading the other reviews on this product it is clear some people do not understand the purpose of this product. It is not a toy - rather a soft dumbell to be used when training young (teething) pups to fetch and hold a dumbell properly in their mouth (i.e. not chew it). It is not a chew toy and not something you leave with a pup.

I got this for motivating my female GSD (who's only 28kg, so not big for a Shepherd) at training, and as she was tugging it, then handle came straight out, so it's kind of redundant for it's purpose now as it's not big enough for both of my hands, and her mouth, with there being a safe distance between. I think it'd be fine for less powerful dogs though, as the main body of the toy is still in pretty good condition (obviously a few bite marks, but it's holding together fine).

Disintegrated within 10mins of my lab X spanial playing with it, I kid you not. Waste of money.

this tug is an excellent training aid enjoyed by my GSD who became obsessed with it. It could do with being a little more robust for larger working dogs as I have had other makes that have lasted longer. Two handles would be better than one in order that the handler could hold both handles whilst having a good old tug with the dog. Generally though good value for money.

My puppy loves this toy and I can also train very well with him with that. Apart from that he loves to chew it, and since its natural fibre its great for the teeth too.

Already broke on the first tug, stuffing came out and the bow was torn off.

My dogs absolutely love the bite tug. Yes, it doesn’t last very long. It’s not really suitable for big, strong dogs. That’s why I’m giving it 3 stars. The material quality could be better and more durable, so I’m taking off 2 stars. ☆☆☆¤¤

Great, let's hope it lasts with my Staffy... but at least I know how much I spent.

This thing broke after just 30 seconds of playing with it for the first time.

It tore apart at the first tug from my dog. The jute is so thin you can see through it.
