Lukullus Classic Junior Chicken & Salmon - Grain-Free - dog dry food

We spent a long time researching to find a dry food with a high meat content and good value for money for our Aussie mix puppy, and we were very happy with the old recipe. All the more frustrating is the significant change in the composition, which was not clearly communicated to existing customers. For our dog, it's basically like switching to a new food. Really disappointing – we'll now be looking for an alternative.

They fit perfectly, especially if your dog is medium or large-sized.

My Bucovina Shepherd puppy accepted them very quickly. I mix them with rice and pasta and he eats really well. They smell and look appetising.

When you compare the ingredients of the old and new recipe, it’s unfortunately clear that the food has been watered down quite a bit... 10% less chicken protein, maize instead of potato... really disappointing. I was always a big Lukullus fan... and we always ordered Chicken & Trout Junior Cold-Pressed, but suddenly that product is no longer available and Chicken & Salmon is now the only Junior option.

The old recipe was good, but we won’t be buying the new one with 20% corn anymore—such a shame.

With a large breed puppy, the kibble size is brilliant—they’re about the size of a thumbnail, so the puppy actually has to chew the food. They must taste good too, because they’re eaten with great enjoyment.
