Says for adult rats, but female adult rats, or smaller rats, will get through the gaps. The cage itself is too small for larger animals like ferrets. It's not even properly suitable for birds. An absolutely useless product

Fair enough I should have read the details properly, but typed in 'rat cages' and t His popped up. The diameter between the bars are far to wide for rats, it shouldn't say in the description for rats, they'll escape with ease. I'll have to cover the cage in chicken wire Also, the plastic doesn't come pre holed

The cage and tray is ok I tried to make the holes that should have come with and I broke so I don’t have the shelves anymore. The tray in the bottom is ok but the metal part is bad because they can trap their feet and get hurt or even lose them. The door is kinda bent already they escaped once (I am talking about 2 ferrets)
