Peewee replacement

I originally ordered this bc there's some kinda availability issues with PeeWee pellets, and these are a decent replacement. They work the same way, are about the same thickness, they are a tad bit longer on average and are made out of a different wood mixture making them a darker in colour. Because of the difference in mixture, I think it holds odors in slightly worse than it's name-brand counterpart, but works great when the original isn't available. There's a mixture of both in my pictures.

Ideal product

The perfect cat litter. I have a cat sanctuary. This is amazing. The wood pellet cat litters are the best. Recommended.

Not so good for cats

Sorry, I just wrote a wrong review about this, thinking it was the other product. This one is unfortunately cheap but not really good and smelly, too.

It just is the best cat litter!

I am using this litter for 3-4 years. Mostly the cats go outside but in the winter or when away and cats are in it is great! Easy to take everything out which keeps the rest clean. I don't have to clean the toilet that often due to the easy forking! Which also makes it last longer despite the higher price. Also no smell. I used other cat litters at times but always returning to this one! I can also compost it!

Changed formula

I've used this for years with a sieve tray system and it used to smell fine but now there's a rotten smell from it and it disintegrates much faster so you have to use more.

Best for bunnies

I have tried different litter for my bunny but there's nothing better than this

Don't Get A Sieve Tray!

First time I've tried dissolving 'sand' litter, and so far I'm impressed. They really do trap in the odor compared to all the other more expensive kinds. However; some people say you should get a Sieve Tray for this kind of litter. I did just that and found the extra steps in cleaning the litter not worth the regular maintenance. It just clogs up the little vent holes. Buy litter bags, drape them over the tray and shift the dissolved sand to the underside. Much easier and effective.

Cat litter

I'm happy of quality and price ....

GREAT if you know how to utilize it!

BEWARE: This littler is non-clumping and does require a specific litter box system; the double trays where the top has holes in it to let the dirty litter sieve through. The pellets turn into sawdust once they start absorbing any liquid, meaning you cannot scoop this up! If you have the right litter box these pellets are great! I have tried 10-15 different brands of clay/ clumping litter the last year and this is the first one I've come across that does not track or get stuck in their fur.

This is not a clumping litter but zooplus include it under clumping

This litter is not a clumping litter. Zoo plus have included it under the clumping filter even though it clearly states on the packaging it’s non clumping. For someone looking specifically for clumping litter - this was very misleading as we brought it by accident and opened it.

dont use for cats on its own

if you mix with a clumping one, it works nicely, but otherwise you get a smelly powder that you cant scoop

Works as intended

This cat litter is meant for sifting out the dissolved pellets once the cats use the litter. All the reviews saying you can't scoop, aren't using it properly... lol It smells great, and makes cleaning the litter boxes so much easier than scooping everything out! Definitely recommend!

The best

If you have the right litter box system, this litter is amazing. I use a litter tray that has a sieve to filter the broken down pellets through, then just have to scoop the poop! Both of my cats love this litter and I feel more comfortable using it than the clumping litters. Great value for money too! My go-to litter, always have a supply.

Smells so bad after cat use just once

So disappointed! I used it for my cat litter, after my cat use the litter the bathroom and all the apartment is smelling so bad and I even can’t scoop my cats wee! I changed twice a day but how soon as my cat pee in it it smells so bad! Please do not buy it! Will waste your money

Excellent product with suitable litter system

Pellets only work with a suitable litter tray system. The upper tray must be drilled in such a way that the sawdust falls into a lower compartment, leaving the upper part always dry and clean. With a suitable litter tray such as " Purina Tidy Cats Breeze Cat Litter System" these pellets are an excellent product.

Suitable for one kitten

I was advised in a pet shop to get this litter sadly its not that good when it comes to clumping, wee stays soft almost fragile as you trying to scoop, and talking about smell neutralizing.... well, the smell of cat poo stays so strong that you'll need a sented candle or a spray to get rid of it. And you can see bits of litter all over your floor and guess which way your cat went after....

Bought by mistake - Go for Original Cat's Best.

This non-clumping litter is like the evil cousin of the clumping litter from Cats Best. The untouched pellet-like bits stay firm, peed-on bits disintegrate into smelly sawdust, so impossible to scoop. Never again - stick with Original Cats Best.

Not for cats

The litter itself of a good quality, but too chunky for cats. The spoiled litter breaks up in powder, and it is difficult to clean up.

Not for cats?

I'm afraid I regret buying this. The main problem is you can't see where kitty has peed, so you just have to leave the used litter sitting there until it's time to change the whole thing. Then you find out all the pee has just sunk down to the bottom layer and been absorbed there. I would only recommend it for people who can't or don't want to scoop litter every day, which keeps the tray as clean and fresh as possible. There are cheaper brands which are better.

I never use anything else anymore

I was recommended this cat litter by the animal rescue where I adopted my cats. It is superb! I use plastic liners with puppy pads, along with Cat's Best and it massively reduces the smell and prevents mess. Worth paying a little extra for!

I think it's excellent

It really doesn’t clump, but it’s excellent value for money. My cat loves it, though you have to change it more often than the clumping types. But that’s not a downside, because the area stays much cleaner. In return, you don’t have to vacuum the house every day wherever the cat goes. She doesn’t track anything out of the litter box at all. I recommend it.

The worst Cats Best product

Non-clumping litter is a complete mistake. You can't clean the litter box with a scoop, you basically have to throw all of it away. Plus, it doesn't absorb odours. I'm going back to the litter with the purple label.

Stinks!

Non-clumping cat litter pellets. This product doesn't absorb any odours at all. The smell of urine is disgusting even after a small wee! Why aren't the PeeWee wood pellets available anymore?! They were a thousand times better.

Quality varies between the packs

I've been using this litter for my cats for years and I'm satisfied with it. Unfortunately, the quality of the pellets varies from time to time—the last batch was smaller and crumbled too quickly, so I went through it faster than usual. Important to mention: this litter is meant for sieve toilets! It turns to dust when it gets wet and falls through the sieve. It does this job well, smells like wood, is more environmentally friendly, and (for me) less work than clumping litter.

Excellent value for money

A litter tray with pellets needs a suitable tray! With a double tray, the top one is where you remove the poo, and it has holes big enough for the soiled sawdust to fall into the tray underneath, which is what you empty every 3 or 4 days. I've had a PeeWee tray for over 6 years, it's the best. Pellets really prevent smells and there's nothing more economical once you know how to use them. Negative reviews are left by people who don't know how to use the product properly.

Perfectly suited for cats

I never write reviews but I feel like I have to defend this product. I've been using it since my Maine Coon kittens, now quite big, arrived at home and I wouldn't do without it, nor would they. It's true that, since it's quite coarse, at first it doesn't cover the poo very well, but they cover it by digging more vigorously. At first they were a bit puzzled and took a few pieces to play with, but after 3 days they were totally fine with it—it became their litter and has been for a year now. I chose it because it's natural and doesn't harm them.

It's okay

Indeed, it gets dusty with urine, not very practical. But it does the job and it doesn't bother my cat at all.

Cat's Best Universal review

In our opinion, Cat's Best Universal litter isn't good for cats. (We've had really great experiences with the "Original" version!) Our cats just didn't get what this big, stiff, chunky material was supposed to be for. Unfortunately, we bought two 20-litre bags of it, and we'd be happy to send back the unopened one, even for free, if you can make use of it...

Very poor quality

It doesn't clump at all, you can't scoop out the pee-soaked litter because it just falls apart. It doesn't trap odours either. I tried the purple-pack version from this brand and that one is much better compared to this.

Not good at all

I didn't have a good experience with this product. The pellets are too big, they don't clump, and they turn into something like flour. If the cat does more than just pee, it smells terrible because it doesn't absorb and the cat can't cover it up. The only good thing is that it doesn't make any dust... I recommend buying smaller pellets.

Excellent!

I've been using this litter for years for my 4 cats... It absorbs odours really well, doesn't stick to their long fur, and doesn't get scattered everywhere!

Excellent

I've been using pellet litter for my two cats for a year now. Before that, I used regular litter, which made a lot of dust and left strong smells, so I had to change it 2 to 3 times a day. The pellets absorb well, and the good thing is my cats always do their business in the same spot in the tray, which makes cleaning easier. A little tip: to stop your cat from spreading pellets everywhere, just put a mat in front of the litter box – that way you won't have bits of pellet all over the place.

Not great

I don't like this litter. It's not clumping at all. It just turns into dust. I went for the purple pack instead, which is much better.

Cats Best Universal Litter

Not suitable for cats because it falls apart when it gets damp and looks like sawdust, which doesn't work when cleaning out the litter tray. I use it for my rabbits and guinea pigs and it's perfect for them – easy to clean out and doesn't smell.
