Lillebro Natural Straw

The stalks are very short. Our guinea pigs don’t really like using it, neither for lying in it nor running through it. It doesn’t smell like fresh straw. There’s a strong urine smell very quickly.

Unfortunately, I'm really disappointed with this straw. It's extremely dusty and full of stones. So far, I've taken out just under 1kg from the 10kg pack and have already pulled out loads of stones the size of a fingernail. The straw pieces are 5–7cm long, which could be great or way too short depending on the animal. At least it's very absorbent, which is good. Since I'm currently caring for a goose with a healing webbed foot, the stones and dust are honestly a real pain.

Fresh straw that is quite short-cut, which also makes it softer. I use it together with wood shavings as bedding for my guinea pigs, and they love rummaging around and snuggling down in this straw.
