Product description

A delicious cat food for adult cats over 1 year, which have been neutered. A reduced concentration of minerals in this wet cat food promotes a healthy urinary tract.
Royal Canin believes that a cat's diet should reflect the various parameters of life, such as age, breed, lifestyle, physiology and individual circumstances. This also includes the food you feed your cat after it has been neutered. Royal Canin Sterilised in Gravy helps your pet to maintain a healthy weight after sterilisation.

Within 48 hours of neutering your cat's food intake has increased by 20%. However, the energy it needs has reduced by about 30%. Lowering the calorie intake leads to a slight increase in blood sugar levels and helps to prevent premature hunger. Neutered cats often suffer with urinary stones, especially if they are overweight, because they are drinking less and therefore producing less urine. Controlled levels of minerals and a low urine pH help to keep your cat's urinary tract healthy.

Feeding guide

Feeding recommendation
Daily amount in pouches/day if Royal Canin Sterilised is fed exclusively:

Cat's weight Amount of food
3 kg 3 pouches
4 kg 3 1/2 pouches
5 kg 4 pouches
6 kg 4 1/2 pouches

Daily amount if fed in combination with Royal Canin Sterilised dry food:

Cat's weight Daily amount
3 kg 40-48 g + 1 pouch
4 kg 58-70 g + 1 pouch
5 kg 76-92 g + 1 pouch
6 kg 94-114 g + 1 v

You should change over your cat's food slowly so that its intestinal flora has sufficient time to adapt to a new food. Over 7 days, mix Royal Canin wet food in gradually increasing proportions into your cat's existing diet. This gentle change reduces the risk of diarrhoea. Excessive food intake may also cause digestive problems.
Please note that these are guidelines only. Actual feeding amounts should be adjusted according to your cat's age, activity levels and circumstances. Monitor your cat's weight and adjust feeding amounts as required. Fresh water should be provided at all times.
