Product descriptionA wet cat food for kittens up to 4 months, during the first growth phase. This creamy mousse helps your kitten to make the transition from milk to solid food.
Your kitten is not yet a cat!
Kittens require specifically tailored nutrition.
Imagine we are talking about human beings - would you feed your baby the same diet as an adult? Of course not! Babies have a sensitive digestive system, small jaws and no teeth, so could not, for example, bite into an apple as an adult could. Comparisons such as this make it easier to understand why our young pets require a whole different kind of food from their adult counterparts.
With a few breed- and gender-specific different, cats up to 12 months need tailored diets in order to reach healthy adulthood. The Royal Canin Kitten range offers your kitten the perfect start, so you can choose the ideal combination of wet and dry food.
Benefits of dry food: concentrated nutrients and a texture that cleans teeth and supports dental health.
Benefits of wet food: the high moisture content can reduce the risk of urinary tract problems and help maintain a healthy weight.
Nutritional additives:
Vitamin A (30000 IU/kg), vitamin D3 (290 IU/kg), iron (3.5mg/kg), iodine (0.1mg/kg), copper (0.9mg/kg), manganese (1.1mg/kg), zinc (11mg/kg)

+ 16 weeks | 1¼ - 1¾ trays |

Daily amount when fed in combination with Royal Canin Babycat dry food:
Cat's age | Amount of food |
8 weeks | 1/2 tray + 17 - 29g |
12 weeks | 1/2 tray + 27 - 44g |
+ 16 weeks | 1/2 tray + 31 - 51 g |
Lactating cats | As required |
Changing from one food to another should be done gradually so your cat's intestinal flora has sufficient time to adapt to a new food. Mix Royal Canin wet food in gradually increasing proportions into your cat's existing diet over a period of 7 days. This gradual change lowers the risk of diarrhoea. Excessive food intake may also cause digestive problems.
Please note that these are only guidelines. Actual feeding amounts should be adjusted according to your cat's age, activity levels and circumstances. Monitor your cat's weight and adjust feeding amounts as required. Fresh water should be provided at all times.
