Changing from one food to another should be done gradually so your cat's intestinal flora has sufficient time to adapt to a new food. Mix Royal Canin wet food in gradually increasing proportions into your cat's existing diet over a period of 7 days. This gradual change lowers the risk of diarrhoea. Excessive food intake may also cause digestive problems.

Please note that these are only guidelines. Actual feeding amounts should be adjusted according to your cat's age, activity levels and circumstances. Monitor your cat's weight and adjust feeding amounts as required. Fresh water should be provided at all times.

Great Product

I’ve used this to wean my kittens and they’ve loved it, it’s much easier than blending up regular chunky kitten food with milk, I just put some into a bowl with a dash of kitten milk to make it more liquids and they eat it straight up, it’s very expensive and I wouldn’t consider us as a permanent food but it’s really good to start weaning with

Amazing stuff

When we got our kitten at 12 weeks, the breeder told us she was the only one of her litter who had refused to eat anything other than the Royal canin kitten biscuits. All her brothers were eating meat. She absolutely loves this mousse and I'm so happy she's getting more fluids and more calories in addition to her biscuits. Would recommend for picky kittens.

Kittens love this mousse

My two girls love this mousse - they have been eating it since I adopted them at 5 weeks old and I pop biscuits in with it now they are 3 months old. I feel happy they are getting their nutrients in a food they enjoy, and their little tummies like it too as when they came to us, they had digestive problems. Perfect for my baby kitties!

My Kittens love this!

I have recently adopted 2 gorgeous little 5 week old sister kittens who were abandoned at birth - my Vet recommended the Mousse and they have really enjoyed it, plus I can mix it with some clear homemade chicken broth (just boil a chicken piece in water and strain the broth) and feel happy they are drinking too as they don’t touch their bowls of water yet! ☺️

Amazing beginner for kittens

Normally i am not the person who review products , but this mousse is really something , mother loves it so much and its easy to swallow as she eats 6 plus times a day and get fed up of dry food , good addition to her daily meals , kittens loves it as well , you should add some hot water to make it more luquid and thats it , kittens are happy , mother are happy , everyone is happy , recommending ))

Cats approve

When I adopted a pregnant stray I realised some specialist food was in order. Although initially she wasn't bothered, my cat went crazy for this while she was nursing, seemed to be exactly the kind of high calorie food she was needing, and the kittens weaned easily. They've moved on to all sorts of foods now at eight weeks but still love the mousse. Pricey, but not much is wasted as if it dries out you can mix it with water and it goes smooth again, or use more water and turn it into cat soup!

Love it

My kitten is crazy for the Royal Canon kitten food, specially this Mousse. We give her it 4 times a day in small portions and she can't wait until its Mousse time of the day! She gets very healthy stool from it and her coat is getting shinyer and shinyer. Recommend!

Poor ingredients, sham marketing

Ordered this for our nursing Mama Maine Coon cat. Already distrust the brand from their filler based Maine Coon food, this has lots of sugar in it and dubious 'animial derivatives' Look at the ingredients in Thrive complete kitten, chicken flavour: Chicken Breast (70%), Chicken stock, Sunflower Oil, Vitamins & Minerals. Going to stick to this, Royal Canin is dodgy, they make cheap food and market it as good for cats but they are not transparent with what goes in it. I don't trust them.

Kittens loved it

Lovely consistency - a smooth mousse - so an easy first food for the kittens to eat. Mum loves it too. I tried every first kitten food from Zooplus and this was very definitely the favorite but agree with a previous review its a shame about the the addition of sugars. Maybe this is why they like it so much. But the up side is that they love it and mum has four strong, very energetic, healthy beautiful kittens

Great for weaning kittens

We have our first litter of pedigree russian blue kittens and weaning them has been so easy with this. Its a lovely smooth pate that is easy for them to eat. All four babies rush to the plate now when its meal time and we have to keep mum from eating it!! Will definitely be using for future litters.

Mixed feelings

This mousse is popular with breeders for weaning kittens, it can be mixed with cimicat milk, or raw food or fed alone, warm or cold, it's versatile. It's very dense so filling and high calorie so good for growing little ones. My current litter however don't care for it! Quite expensive too.

So my two 8 week-old rascals thought this food was pretty special. It was only afterwards that I saw how much sugar was in it. Shame.

A delicacy!

My 3 month old kitten just loves these cans. He eats it all up. The cans are a bit big for a kitten, but they can be stored easily in the fridge with a cover, to make a few meals.
