If cats repeatedly suffer from urinary tract diseases and are prone to developing urinary stones, it is important to feed them a diet that is tailored to their needs. Hill's Prescription Diet c/d Multicare Urinary Care Chicken is specially formulated to reduce the risk of crystal formation and promote the dissolution of existing struvite stones.

This dietary cat food is characterised by its low magnesium, calcium and vitamin D content. Thanks to its urine-alkalising properties, it can contribute to an optimal urine pH value and an environment that is unfavourable for the formation of urinary stones. Hill's Prescription Diet c/d Multicare Urinary Care Chicken also has urinary unsaturating properties with regard to struvite to reduce the risk of struvite stone formation.

Tasty food,

One of my cats was put on this diet as he suffered from struvite crystals... yes he likes it, but the bonus is that all my other cats like it aswell, so no fights and well cats..

Excellent food for cats

Luca had an operation to remove stones from his bladder as a kitten. Since then the vet recommended this food and he is now an 8 year old cat. He's had no more problems with stones, and the other two cats also love this food. We are very happy with this product.

Very good

Three years ago they diagnosed my cat with struvite crystals in his urine. I changed his normal diet for this and he started to improve from the outset. I'm never changing it again - 100% recommended.

Tieger likes this food

I tried a different food because my little tigers had gone off the anti struvite food I was feeding them. They really like it and I'm impressed by the quality.

Does what it is designed for

However, this food should not be given to cats who do not have struvite crystals / alkaline urine as it could have a detrimental effect, thus achieve the opposite result in the long term(i-e formation of oxalates). Moreover, Hill's C.D prescription diet should only be fed for 3 months at the most--vet's recommendations.

Sir Thomas

Having nearly killed my old cat by giving it a TV recommended brand of dry food, Sir T. developed urine crystals and needed a major opeation. My vet at the PDSA recommended that he be fed this food, which he loves as does my 2nd cat and any strays that pass eat HILLS rather than anything else,,,,It must be good.
