The Diogenes Scratching Barrel XL offers your cat lots of ways to play and sharpen its claws. This roomy barrel is particularly suited to larger cat breeds. It also provides enough space for a whole family of cats to hide away. The outside of the barrel is covered with hard-wearing, natural sisal which your cat can use to sharpen its claws and have a good stretch. 

There are three entrances with plush fabric trim that your kitty can use to climb into the dens inside the barrel. The lowest and the middle dens are connected to each other through a hole. The cosy bed at the top with a high edge is perfect for your cat to look out over its surroundings or to daydream and have a snooze.

Use special wall plugs and screws for concrete, hollow walls or plasterboard. Check the stability of the cat tree before allowing your cat to use it. Check the stability regularly and tighten the screws when needed.

Absolutely amazing!

Like any other Zooplus product, it is very good quality and has an excellent price-performancr ratio. I have 2 cats and I have been using this cat tree for 7+ years and it is still going strong! It would be quite nice to be able to change the top pillow but I couldn't find its replacement yet.

Love this!

I love this scratch barrel. Both of my cats use it and love it. The top bed is my tortie's preferred spot for napping - she is in it for hours every day. It's super well made, the scratch material is durable - it's being used by two cats in my house, one of which is a large Maine coon. It looks really good too. I would highly recommend it!

Great

This has only just arrived and my cat has yet to discover the scratching side of it (which is why I bought it). However he is sitting in the top enclosed bit so I feel it as a success. Perfect size for my big, long cat!

Great for snoozing

Bought this as a scratching post but my two never use if for scratching but love to sit on the top and look out of the window. They don't seem too keen on the lower levels. Bought 6 months ago and looks as good as new, but that's because they don't tend to scratch it I guess.Quite large so be sure you have the space for it!

Great for larger cats

I have 2 9kg Bengal boys and this is holding up great. Had a conventional cat tree that snapped to pieces. This is sturdy and doesn't move when they jump on and off etc. Also it's huge! I nearly died when it got delivered haha

Scratching barrel aka Kitten Towers

Our two 8 month old cats love their scratching barrel. More for sleeping in/on than scratching but they now spend most evenings up their watching what we're up to. V. stable and less obtrusive than some cat trees. Only down is that the dangling fluffy balls in the windows haven't lasted long. One was pulled off completely the other had the furry cover pulled off exposing a bell hanging on elastic so cut it off as could have been swallowing. Third (bottom window) is still attached for now!

Great fun

I ordered this for my 2 maincoons they loved it from the moment we opened it, they love to sleeping on it trouble is only one can get on it at a time so the have to take it in turns. Great price and great product.

An essential purchase

This is great, especially for multi cat households as there are 4 levels including the bed at the top. I only received this today & all are scratching it, jumping up it, playing with the toys. Don't think twice about treating your cats to this, they will love you!

Cat Heaven

Brilliant product - so many places for the furballs to lounge in and snooze - they love it! It's good and sturdy to withstand some abuse when they have a good scratch on the outside too. A good investment which will stand the test of time.

Genius Scratch Post

This scratching barrel is just great. My cats took to it very quickly and the 4 of them almost fight over who gets to go first. The top spot is almost always taken by one of them...The barrel is very stable and doesn't wobble around when the cats climb on top of it. I could tell it was worth buying within 5 minutes!

Very stable and for all ages :-)

Really stable and suited to even the smallest of cats. Our 7 week old managed to scale it without problems. The 3 toys are perfect to animate your cat and tempt it to climb and claw and clamour. The fur bit is nice and soft.

Scratching barrel

I bought this barrel on the 15th of July and I'm very happy with it. Cats large and small have quickly taken to it, climbing, clawing, playing, and snoozing away. Very sturdy too. *****Stars from me :-)

Fantastic purchase

Arrived within 2 days of ordering and exactly as described. Absolutely no smell as experienced by a couple of other customers. Height is perfect for cat to lie on top and look out of window. Sits neatly in corner of room behind settee - well worth the £45 paid.
