However, special circumstances, such as a purely dry food diet or some illnesses, such as renal insufficiency or urinary crystals, make it imperative that a cat consumes enough water, and numerous tricks and tips help to increase water intake. Strategically placed water bowls, a drinking fountain or diluted cat milk are just a few of the possible measures.
Special preparations, such as Miamor Trinkfein Vitaldrink, also encourage cats to drink more. For sick animals during the recovery period, very liquid feeds with a high protein content can support recovery. The intense meat odour also stimulates the appetite.
