Food allergies are an overreaction of the immune system to certain proteins. Food intolerances are not caused by the immune system. Both food allergies and food intolerances can lead to skin and digestive problems, such as itching and diarrhoea. An elimination diet will help to determine any food intolerance, The prerequisite for an elimination diet is that the food only contains a selected protein and carbohydrate source. This premium therapeutic food has been specifically developed to meet the nutritional needs of dogs that suffer from food intolerance and dermatosis. In order to reduce the possibility of raw ingredient and nutrient intolerance the only source of protein in this food is kangaroo and parsnips are the only source of carbohydrates. Excluding commonly used animal protein and commonly used carbohydrates from your pet's diet helps to lessen the risk of an adverse reaction. This food is enriched with thistle oil and linseed oil, both of which are particularly high in omega-3 fatty acids.

Feeding guide

Concept for Life Veterinary Diet Hypoallergenic - Kangaroo is a dietetic complete wet food for adult dogs.

Recommended feeding period:
  • Feed for 3-8 weeks to reduce intolerance to raw ingredients and nutrients
  • Continue to feed if intolerance diminishes
  • Feed up to 2 months to support skin function in dermatosis and excess hair loss

  • This is a complete dog food and should be fed according to the feeding guidelines, however feeding amounts should be adapted depending on your dog's level of activity, age or breed

Very good for dog with PLE!

We have a very sick dog who has PLE. She is allergic to most proteins so we have been advised to try a 'novel protein' in the hopes she won't react to it. She has been on this food for 1 month and is doing so much better! Gaining weight and ''regulated'' digestion. Highly recommended.

Poor quality

For dogs with allergy problems, this is very poor quality. Lots of little lumps of fat, generally looks poor quality and It gave my three fur boys diarrhea for a week, despite mixing in gradually! Extremely disappointing.

My basset fauve de bretagne loves it

Very allergic dog but this food is fine she loves it
