The ingredients of Terra Canis dog food

• Musclemeat: ensures that the organism is supplied with high-quality proteins and omega 6 fatty acids. Muscle meat also includes heart meat as well as chicken, turkey & rabbit stomachs (stomach and heart are pure muscle and therefore do not count as offal). Within the meat ration, the proportion of muscle meat should always be the largest, Terra Canis menus consist mainly of muscle meat
• Liver: As the liver is a detoxification organ, it should only be fed to dogs rarely and in small quantities. Terra Canis therefore only uses liver in small quantities in a few menus. However, it should not be dispensed with completely, as liver contains numerous vitamins and trace elements
• Eggshells: Terra Canis replaces vital calcium from the bones of the prey animal with eggshells. Through before-and-after analyses, the calcium-phosphorus ratio of 1.3:1.0, which is important for the dog, could be established for each individual menu in a completely natural way
• Fibre in the form of vegetables, fruit & herbs: Fibre is important for digestion as it stimulates intestinal motor function and cleanses the intestines. Make sure there is a little variety, as all vegetables and fruit contain different vitamins, minerals, trace elements and phytochemicals. The Terra Canis menus contain more than 20 different types of vegetables, fruit and herbs
• Spirulina algae : Spirulina algae provides the dog with all the important minerals & trace elements (e.g. calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, sodium, selenium, iron, copper, manganese, zinc, iodine, etc.), all essential amino acids, polyunsaturated fatty acids and many important vitamins and minerals
• Mineral clay: Mineral clay (= healing earth) is rich in all important minerals & trace elements (e.g. calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, sodium, selenium, iron, copper, manganese, zinc) and also provides all essential amino acids

Why does Terra Canis grain-free for dogs always contain a little water and/or jelly? Quite simply, both fresh meat and fresh vegetables, fruit and herbs have a very high natural water content (70% to 90%) in their raw state. Heating during the production process causes some of this water to escape from the raw ingredients. Unlike when cooking in an open pot, it cannot be poured off or evaporate when cooking in sealed cans. It therefore remains in the cans. As Terra Canis has decided not to use grains/pseudograins or synthetic binders in these menus, this free water cannot be bound. The cooking process gives it a jelly-like character. This jelly is a natural result of the cooking process and should be fed in all cases, as it contains numerous important native nutrients from the raw materials. The contents of these cans do not contain significantly more water than the Terra Canis Classic menus with grain/pseudo-cereals. In the latter, this water is only bound by millet, brown rice or amaranth and is therefore not visually perceptible.
