Poor fit in VW Golf

Door doesn't open over the loading sill on VW Golf. Overall sits far too low in the boot. Has to be pushed back quite far into the boot space to get enough angle for the door to open at all (even then it has to squeeze over the sill), this leaves a very cramped space for my retriever to travel in. Disappointing.
