A low protein content and high-quality protein sources help to reduce the strain on the kidneys caused by metabolic waste products.

Balanced minerals and high palatability:

The reduced phosphorus content can help prevent the build-up of phosphate in the body. A special mineral balance counteracts urine acidification and helps to reduce stone formation. The formula is particularly palatable and encourages food intake in dogs with a poor appetite.

Concept for Life Veterinary Diet - Renal is a diet complete dry food for adult dogs.

Ingredients:
Rice, maize (31.5%), poultry fat, poultry protein (4.7%, partly dried and hydrolysed), maize protein, dried beetroot pulp, linseed, salmon oil, chicken liver (1.5%, dried, hydrolysed, HDP*), sunflower oil, calcium carbonate, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, whole egg powder, lignocellulose, yeast cell walls (0.3%, equivalent to 0.063% mannan-oligosaccharides and 0.057% beta-glucans), potassium citrate (0.2%), chicory inulin, seaweed meal (rich in DHA**), marigold flower meal (rich in lutein).

Feeding recommendation:
Concept for Life Veterinary Diet Renal is a complete diet food for adult dogs.

The feeding amounts given are guidelines and should be adjusted to suit individual needs in order to maintain an optimal body weight. Provide water ad libitum. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Recommended duration of feeding:

  • To support kidney function in chronic renal failure: initially for up to six months
  • To reduce oxalate stones: for up to six months
  • To reduce urate stone formation: for up to six months; for life in cases of irreversible disturbance of uric acid metabolism
  • It is recommended that you seek advice from a vet before use and before extending the duration of feeding.
