I had 3 variatios of MAC's. The one with salmon was fine-ish, though my cats did not clear the plate, same with Turkey & Veal, but the Duck, Rabbit & Beef was awful! It was almost impossible to get it out of the can, it was so dry even when adding warm water to soften it up. Cat's did not touch it, ended up tossing all of the cans after opening to inspect if all are as dry. Awful!

MACs wet cat food in both tin and sausage came with maggots inside the food. Upon reporting the issue, the manufacturer first intended to compensate me and to close the case, then threatened me with taking legal actions against me. I would never ever recommend this brand to anyone.

My two cats aren't usually picky eaters—I regularly switch up their food so they don't get fixated on just one kind. But for them to consistently refuse all four flavours from one brand (that I bought) is a first. They sniff the food and just leave it, even after several tries. They'd rather eat the dry food. It's a shame, I guess I'll have to donate it and get some new food. Sending it back probably isn't an option anymore. :-/

Unfortunately, I can't recommend it. This is already the second time I've received MAC’s with a completely different consistency than before. Last time, my cats also refused to eat it and I sent the food back. Back then, they told me I could return it as an exception. Unfortunately, the problem happened again – this batch is very soft, and from the start my cats were reluctant to eat it. After a few weeks, both developed diarrhoea, and there was also vomiting. The quality of each batch is definitely inconsistent.

The cat would rather go all day without eating than eat this, the smell is disgusting. I won't buy it again.

My cat ate this food for a year and a half. Since August, he won't touch it. I ordered it recently, different batch, same thing—he sniffs it and won't eat... I don't know if they've changed the formula or what, but even I think it smells bad :/

The food smells absolutely awful, and my cat hasn't wanted to eat it at all for some time now. After opening the can, you have to air out the house. From what I see in other reviews, I'm not the only one. Money down the drain.

Until recently, my 4-month-old cat used to eat this flavour in the 200g version with great appetite. He won't even touch the 400g cans… he 'buries' the bowl and walks away. It's the same with the Turkey and Rabbit flavours… it's clear that the bigger cans are of worse quality.

The quality has clearly gone downhill in the last six months. Even when I store it in the fridge with the lid on, the tin starts to smell after 2-3 hours. That just shouldn't happen. Sometimes, even when I open a fresh tin, the contents smell bad too. I won't be buying this again.

My cat refuses to eat the beef variety, even though he likes Mac's food and is used to having a variety. He wouldn't touch this food, not even when it was topped with broth or mixed with another food—he just picked out the other pieces and left the beef, and there were even times when he refused completely, just sniffed it and walked away from the bowl. There's something not right with this food.

This is already my second order in a row where I can clearly see the food’s formula has changed for the worse. I’ve never come across such large lumps of fat in this food before. The overall texture has changed as well. I don’t recommend it. The manufacturer didn’t inform about any changes.

I can't really judge the quality, but for me it was a pointless expense—my cats just don't like it at all, they leave everything in their bowls.

My cats don’t eat carrots. I gave the food to the stray cats instead. At least they’ll have something to eat.
